£20! Ouch! Something else to moan about! Seriously though, be interesting to see the reaction.

Happy to oblige Jimbo. £20? I can understand why the club has set it at £20 and I suppose we should be grateful it isn't higher. Personally though I think £20 and £10 for the kiddiewinkles is outrageous. I'll pay it and junior d7 will get his ticket too but that is taking the p1ss.

Used to be that the prices for Scottish Cup ties involving wee team and bigger team were what you would expect to pay at bigger team ground unless the two clubs agreed for lower or higher. Don't know if this is still the case.
If we had been drawn at Celtic, it could have been much higher. Last Celtic game I went to, about 10 years ago, cost in the twenties, preumably higher now.
Sounds like the two clubs have had a chat and come up with a compromise price.
The finest team in all Coatbridge is going to be playing the No 1 side in Scotland (not my opinion, look at the league tables), I know money is tight, especially at this time of the year, but this is a special occasion, a one-off.
And I want Aberdeen away in the next round.

Normally the price for an adult at a cup game at Celtic is about £15, that was the case against both Motherwell and Alloa in the Betfred Cup

A tad more than I was expecting TBH but I can see why. Looking at Celtic home prices for the league the cheapest adult price is £26 against lesser lights such as Ross County, rising to £29 against Hearts and possibly even more for a Rangers game. On that basis £20 is right in the middle of the 2.

See there's been a bit of an outcry at the prices by some folk on Facebook and also on this forum.
I accept that if you're taking your kid to the match £30.00 is a lot of money(more if you add pies, drinks etc.), especially in January however as stated above this is still quite a bit less than you'd pay to see a Celtic match at Celtic Park.

Very reasonable in my opinion for adult prices, especially in today's market. Steep for a child if you ask me but as two or three others have said, it's a one off. The rovers don't get drawn to play celtic too often, rover n out junior will be there also. It will only become more expensive as we progress in the competition so we should just enjoy and get on with it.

I suppose at the risk of coming across even more pedantic than usual I'd point out that I'm not going to see Celtic at Celtic park; nor would I want to. I'm going to see the Rovers. Plus when you do go to see Celtic they'll have all the big hitters in their line up. You can bet your bottom dollar it's more or less a second string that will be put out against the Rovers with a few reserves on the bench - we've all seen this film before.
It 'is what it is' for this game. Can't really blame the powers that be for wanting to make as much as they can from it.
Not sure what constitutes an outcry in your particular part of the world Prof but it all seems fairly sensible on here. For the time being at least........

OK make that a concern D2. Just read in the Evening Times that Rangers are charging £20.00 for adults and £15.00 for Concessions.

For £18 I would probably have shelled out with no gripes, but £20 breaches a limit - I will have to think about it, especially since a cheaper option would be to watch the game on TV and give the Rovers their share of the gate first hand, also that way the club doesn't miss out and Iain Bankier and Shyberry Excelsior don't see any of my £s.

I'll be there and will buy tickets for my kids too, but I do think it's too dear. Comparing this to a premier league game isn't really valid. It's a league 1 team v a probable not strongest Celtic at a rented stadium. 99% chance we know who wins. In saying all that, I don't blame the club for making the most of it either.

If demand exceeds supply would there be a case for season ticket holders to have first preference ? would probably depend on our allocation I would assume ?

£20 .....That's it I'm not going. I have saved up £19.99! Probably won't be getting humped by the first team anyway....I'm not going if we are getting humped by their reserves instead. Would rather get humped at Cliftonhill. Should be able to save up for the next competitive game against Celtic....Possibly gives me another 40 years to moan about while I wait. Merry Christmas. Enjoy yourself.....It's later than you think!
