What kind of an egomaniacal numpty uses his own [user]name in the thread title, I ask you?
Anyway, on the subject of asking, for those of you who wanted to know when I head down under, I can tell you that the date of departure is June 10. Some folks will do anything, even running away to the opposite end of the earth, to avoid listening to Willie Collum at the club dinner.
So if I don't see you before next weekend then it's bye for now, and - clears throat and puts on laughable Arnie impersonation - I'll be back! (for Christmas).
Thanks and auf wiedersehen. DH.

All the best. Only a true Scot could go to Australia and pick winter to do it! Don't forget the surf board and shark repellent!

So you decided to go for it then?! Good move! I think you said it was Perth you were going to? It's a lovely city, i'm sure you'll venture to Kings Park, the beaches are fantastic and Fremantle isn't too far away.
Now if there is any chance you could take back a couple of packets of Tim Tam biscuits for me that would be grand! Haha!

Thanks for all the kind words, folks and folkettes!
I've had my arm twisted, so I will put in an appearance at the St Andrews Bar next Friday, if anyone wants one final social call before I get out of Dodge. All are welcome.
DH.

Not sure yet, mulling over the idea of a bite to eat beforehand, perhaps at the Chinese buffet behind the pub.

Okay, I'll probably head to the buffet for seven if anyone wants to do the same, and to the hostelry thereafter.

All the best David. Thanks for everything you've done for the club and I'm sure you will be back involved when you return from Australia.
