Tremendous result yet again. Oh, and Buchanan I missed it for a rained-off cricket match! This team is going to have a very interesting season. Eleven goals in 4 matches is great.

Out but good, encouraging start to season. Finished 2nd spot in a tough group. Trouten top scorer. 2 cracking results against higher level teams. Pity, we could not hold on to late 1-2 lead. Pity, another 2 penalty shoot outs won and we would have been in the mix.
League 1 going to be interesting - Ayr great start, Raith reasonable start, QP did quite well, Rovers showed up well.

A terrific effort from the players and fans - so unlucky not to go through. I think not beating an average Stenny side costs us.
It's a good start - the season will get harder - lets go Rovers

Seriously how dire were QoS? Answer - not very at all actually. Without wanting to get carried away that was a great performance. Trouts looks the real deal and twinkle toed his way to the first goal. QoS equaliser was a wonder strike. Not sure it was a penalty for our second but couldn't care less to be honest. Won't surprise anyone to know that the QoS second came from a cross into the box that we didn't defend at all.
Positives aplenty. Trouts, Fish in his advanced role, Holmer and Jase in defence are composed and assured. Keeper looks decent. Hopkins is industrious and hit the post in the first half with a cracker of a shot at 0-0.
Negatives - defending crosses, Holmer going off injured. And I'm gonna leave it at that.
Some difference between this season and last. No doubt we have a better squad of more talented players and a much better mix of experience and youth. No disrespect to last season's squad intended.

Can't add to what's already been said above. Rovers bag £23,000 for being runner-up but not qualifying from the group.

Seems Holmer was taken off as a precaution. Any news on Victoria?

Another great performance from all of the team today, and a Queen of the South supporter would find it hard to disagree that we matched them for long spells. The brand of football we are playing is assured and purposeful, without being reckless. Great credit to the manager, all his staff and the players. As D7 said, if we can work on the issue with crosses, we are going to have a good season ahead.

I thought 1st and 2nd place teams go into the next round, so what happens to 2nd place teams then. Only the 4 Teams who finish 2nd with the most points go through other 4 are out Runners up going through are. Ross County Partick Thistle Kilmarnock And either Dundee or Dundee United Runners up going out are. Peterhead Morton Inverness Caledonian Thistle And Albion Rovers Peterhead will go through if 1) Dundee United beat Dundee 6-0 or 2) Dundee beat Dundee United 8-0 Teams going through join 8 group winners plus the 4 teams who were involved in European competition. Making 16 Teams Teams are seeded in next round

Another superb performance from the guys yesterday.
We really are playing some great, attacking, entertaining football at the moment.
In Mr. Trouten we appear to have a goal machine!
Pity we couldn't have sneaked into the last 16 however can't fault the effort of the guys over the 4 games - 12 goals, 1 thumping win and 3 draws.
Bring on the start of the League 1 campaign on Saturday - can't wait!!
