The away Rovers are absolutely amazing - can we not get Donald Trump/ Alan Sugar or Richard Branson to lend us some money to have a plastic pitch installed at Cliftonhill ? - then we could mount a challenge for the Premier league. It would be ironic if we could break our home duck against the unbeaten Raith.

Cliftonhill is not fit for purpose and should be closed down at once. We will play all our remaining games away from home.

Can we start training at Dunbeth park instead of the AstroTurf at St Ambies before the next home game.
Results away from home are beginning to get surreal. Alloa are a good team and should be in the promotion play offs . Also what about Stranraer who I thought looked the biz last week getting slaughtered at home to Arbroath who we cuffed a couple of weeks ago.

Reminds me of the match at Alloa in 1978 when we won 6-2. And I remember Colin Woodward taking photos on his camera at that game! (I'm assuming it's the same Colin Woodward?!)

Without a word of a lie, that was awesome today. First goal is a contender for goal of any season. Umpteen passes to feet finished with a cross into the box which Shields finished with a classy header from the edge of the box that looped over a rather static Parry.
Real turning point at 1-0 when Bowman made the save of the season. Think Gordon Banks save against Pele - the downward header thing. It was on a par with that, I kid you not. How he got to it is beyond me and not only did he save the ball on the ground, he somehow managed to scoop the header over the bar. Outstanding! He made another save from a header from Perry I think in the second half that stopped a certain own goal.
Start of the second half, when Goodwin had hooked himself we started well with goal number 3. We then sat in really deep on our 18 yard box and invited Alloa onto us. The 2 goals we conceded you could see coming a mile off. Ross and Trouts had a bit of a ding dong after that but they kissed and made up after Trouts scored number 4.
Good to see Victoria getting on the score sheet too. Great confidence booster for a striker.
Not for the first time I don't agree with Bucky. Alloa were absolutely crap. Not a patch on the free flowing football team of last season. Their squad is nowhere near as good and I suspect they'll finish in the bottom half of the table.
If only we could play away from home every week on AstroTurf. Cracking start to the weekend. If Carlsberg did Saturday afternoons...........

Alan Troutens first goal should be a goal of the season contender, sheer class with the touch to set and then to finish

It was impossible to tell if they were knackered with 20 mins left as they'd all well and truly chucked it by then.

I reckon historically Albion Rovers have conceded quite a high percentage of goals in the last 20 minutes of games. If I was the opposition manager that's when I'd have the team going at us, not giving up.
