2 new centre backs, number of injuries to regulars, and Connor moving on all make for big changes in the team's style of play and personnel.
Sharkey, think you are a bit harsh, the players and management will need some time to adjust to all the changes.
Glad to see McMullin getting a starting spot.

How many other teams are trying out a new central half pairing in the middle of the season?

You might think im harsh but thats your opinion. My opinion is far too many rovers fans think its ok to be relegated. Theres a severe lack of ambition within the stands. And if Kerrs trying to pair 2 centre halfs in february then its only because he paired laurel and hardy at the start. Brian also blames the cliftonhill pitch,,well im sorry but he was at cliftonhill for a year before he became 1st team coach so he knew what the pitch was like. I liked what hes tried to do and at times its worked,,but the past 5 months have been a complete shambolic disaster and its looking increasingly likely we are going down.

How many other teams are trying out a new central half pairing in the middle of the season? Aren't the first choice cbs long term injuries ? madness not to get in new ones ? been a tough ride recently, but the players are still giving their lot - can't ask any more.

So people have demanded that the manager signs new central defenders; the manager has now done this; but this is now wrong? Sounds a bit like Ruth Davidson demanding that the Scottish Palliament use the powers it has, only to turn round and say 'how dare you use those powers'. Just my opinion...

To be honest Tee I have lost count of the combinations of players we have had in central defence this season with the manager appearing to favour the Marr/Perry combination. Both of them have been dreadful but either way it was evident from the start of the season that the defence was an issue-we have lacked basic organisation in this department as we lose the same goals week in week out. An earlier post on this thread stated Marr has always been injury prone which begs the question why did we sign him? I don’t have a problem with the effort players give....but again that is a given. We expect 100% effort from all our players. I have only seen the big boy Baur play once but not Harlain. But I notice the manager had the players locked in the dressing room for 30 mins after the game last night which is mind boggling after a defeat to the best team in the league at the moment. Looks as if the manager is trying to deflect criticism away from home self and his assistant. I might be wrong but they have been the coaches all season.
