I honestly don't think the fans could I have come up with 4 more worthy names for the Hall Of Fame.
I never saw Tony Green play but as a youngster I don't think I heard any name mentioned as much as his in being a superb player(possible exception Peter Dickson).
Scott Chaplain has without doubt been the best Rovers player I have seen in my time watching Rovers and epitomises everything that is great about the Club.
Davie Provan and his teams were a joy to watch with some cracking players. There the day we won the league and a great memory.
John Smith and his support of the club over the years has been astonishing. Great Rovers man and had many an illuminating chat with him over the years but more importantly than that a really great human being.

From the Tony Green wikipedia page (worth a read)
"Green was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Bloomfield Road, when it was officially opened by former Blackpool player Jimmy Armfield in April 2006..........
.....Green was inducted into a black and white Hall of Fame at the Toon Reunion at Dunston's Lancastrian Suite on 9 July 2008 at the age of 61."
And now Tony makes it a hat trick of Halls of Fame for each of his three senior clubs!

Indeed, Brian, it is just so sad that his career was cut short by injury.

I have a Match of the Day 1970s video that includes a Blackpool v West Ham game from 03 January 1970 in which Blackpool won 4-0 and Tony Green was sensational scoring twice but instrumental in the other goals, This was a West Ham team including Bobby Moore and Jimmy Greaves etc - but for his horrendous injury what might have been in the following decade.

Yes it was 1971 - FA Cup tie - I think West Ham made the excuse that some of their players were hungover from the night before , as they thought the game was going to be called off - I think Jimmy Greaves admitted as much !
