Beaten by the usual suspects of inability to defend corners and shocking refereeing. Two penalties you owe us, mate!

A crowd of 167, anyone know when we had as low a figure as that for a league match?

Played well, decent game, some strange refereeing decisions. Ross D will have nightmares about his miss. And if he doesn't, then I'll have them for him. Overall though it's just not good enough again. Can't fault the effort and a fair few fans applauded the team off at the end so the fans support is still there.
We're not down yet ........... Another easy game on Saturday............

One of our better performances and yes we had a stonewall penalty denied and surely its easier for Davidson score than blast it over but the club is where it is down to our complete inability to defend cross balls. We have lost than type of goal so often now you expect it to happen. That's 73 goals conceded in the League (average over 2 goals a game) so before cursing our bad luck and bad refereeing decisions look no further than the Goals Against column- it's simply not good enough

New to this forum so hello one and all. What a game that was. There were periods were we played some pretty good football. Some lovely balls sprayed about. Vitoria had a very frustrating game with great pieces of play with little or no end product. How Davidson missed is beyond me, the hard work is done but when at the foot of the table it seems luck goes against us.
Ref had a shocker...
Story of the season winning or in the game and loosing cheaply. My view on this team is they are not bad players or a team and they have the ability to beat the drop. There issue in my eyes is they seem to be physically and mentally weaker than there opponent. Attacking players easily knocked off the ball in my opinion. Saying that our answer to Patrick Roberts was great last night
Anyway tough games to come. Need to get tighter defensively and remember they have had some good wins this year. League two is not what we need. I know the Scotland game was on last night but less than 167 rovers fans in what was one of the most important games of the season is poor. Maybe that’s transferrin to the players.

With regard to the low crowd, there was an occasion on 24th February 1992 a Monday night home league game against East Stirling the crowd was recorded as 142. For the record we lost 3-1 - not a good mid week team on my attendance over the years !!

Could be wrong but I thought their was more than 167 there last night. Sure it wasnt a bumper crowd but as soon as it was announced i thought it was wrong. Maybe time to gee the guy at the gate a new clicker.

Stenhousemuir had a crowd of 50 v Stranraer in 1977-ish. Shire crowds were usually well under 100. Could be worse!!

Its seems that the dross of officialdom gets flung into the lower leagues - can you imagine the outcry in the media and in the higher echelons of Scottish football if such poor refereeing decisions were done against Rangers/Celtic etc ! I think we need to return to the days when the top ? referees were assigned to places like Cliftonhill and Gayfield on a regular basis as well as getting their jaunts to Ibrox and Parkhead. These decisions have been crucial in our fate this year.

Couldn't disagree more Charles, refereeing is as bad now as it was 20 years ago every team invariably gets crap decisions over the course of the season. We are in second bottom spot in a relegation dogfight primarily because we don't do the basics in defending properly. Blaming referees is a total cop out.

I agree that our defending is woeful - we are the worst in Scotland - maybe the UK if the English Leagues can bear this out. But my point on the officials was that we had people like Brian McGinlay/ David Syme/ Jimmy McCluskey and Bob Valentine who were regarded as the top refs of their time who would do lower league games. This does not happen now as the Premier League retains the household names that we all know. If we had these top modern refs then maybe a lot of frustration by managers may be placated, as there maybe is a feeling of lightweight decision makers in our lower leagues.
