I thought that we were pretty comfortable today and could have scored more. East Fife looked a side lacking ideas and no cutting edge , how we are behind them is a debate that has gone on all season. On to Ayr and an outside chance of creating a seismic shock - Hopefully Arbroath will do us a favour and they way they go about their business every confidence in them !

A well deserved 3 points ,pity Forfar couldn't hold on for the win,I'm sure dressing room a much happier place, how we are behind some of the others in this league is a mystery but let's hope we can get the result next week,or Arbroath can help out,on a sour note Alan Trouten appears to have done his hamstring ,but on a more positive note what a well taken goal by Sean Higgins today hopefully Jao can find his form again as that would certainly help .

Great result. We actually looked like we had a bit of confidence about us today. EF had a couple of near misses in the first half but offered hee haw in the second.
Great move for the goal and on another day Higgy could have had a hat trick. He did run out of steam a bit (a lot) after an hour. Defence was as solid as it's been all season although admittedly that isn't saying much.
Comedy moment in the second half when Stuart Malcolm shouted instructions from the stand to McMullin, kind of taking him by surprise!
Crowd was 260-odd I think? As with most weeks it did seem more than that but not much more.
I think we're kidding ourselves if we think we'll get anything at Ayr although we did run them close down there back before Christmas. Trouts was still limping heavily at the end of the game so can't see him making it next week.
Surprised no one has said it yet but if we'd played like that all season then we wouldn't be worrying abut the play-offs.

I did notice Shouty McShoutface wasn't in the dugout but didn't realise he was in the main stand while I paid my annual hommage to the Airdrie end.....and yes if only we had played some of the games like we did today we would be ok.

Wow, Wow - our guys know how to drag us through the mill!! Best team today however it's never over till it's over with the 'Vers.
Absolutely superb cross and strike for the winner.
So unlucky with the shot that hit the crossbar.
Onwards to Somerset Park next week to seal our place in the Play-Offs!!!
C'MON THE MIGHTY 'Vers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great day at the office. Time for us all to take our swim rings and beach balls down to Ayr to burst their bubble. No matter their score tomorrow on BBC Aldi against Alloa, we really do need to go for a win next week. If we play the same way as today, who knows? Always said we had a superb management team and a brilliant BoD.
Finally. The ground looked like an unplayed park today. Superb work from groundstaff ( including an older balding gentleman who recently joined the elite echelons of the Sans Siro vault room ). Well done Bill and others.

Best team performance for yonks and when you consider who was out even more remarkable. Everybody wanted it and for once we got the breaks. Same again next week and hope for the breaks again which we deserve. Come on Arbroath and hope we get stenny midweek and away on the Saturday. Warriors social club here we come.
Interesting to watch Ayr getting beat by alloa today. Lacking up front without shankland who I believe is still suspended next week.
