don't care the club can't wait him to get back from his holidays action is needed now. We have a great opportunity to get Aitken and give him a chance at a new job where he has nothing to lose and no pressure. He worked wonders with Stranraer and dumbarton he has hit hard times so he might be open to dropping down a division. Act now bring him in and let him do things his way before someone else comes in for him

Stevie Aitken probably wouldn’t be interested in the Rovers job.
He spent an absolute fortune at Dumbarton and done away with youth structure as he’d overspent. His style of football was horrible and don’t think there’d be too much improvement with players we have.

Why would these manager mentioned even consider taking the job if jb leaves? Unless the bod somehow manage to get transfer funds in January for new players, which personally I can't see happening.

because unlike Brogan they might have some kind of contacts outside of the west of scotland junior leagues

The fans who are saying "John Brogan is the best we can get with our budget", "what other manager in their right mind would touch the Rovers job". These are the people who will still be peddling this fallacy when our Club slips into the football wilderness.
I think any change is going to have to be fan driven as it is not going to come from our BOD.
If a change is not made immediately it will leave any new manager in an impossible situation as we will be cut adrift by then.

I might be wrong but did Paul Martin not get us promoted and keep us up on a similar budget or less?
A team like Rovers the manager is vital and needs to have good contacts in the senior game to tempt decent players to the club. Brogan came from lower level junior football and guess what that’s all he’s been able to attract to the club.
A piss poor appointment from the get go and it’s time the BOD made a change now before it gets any worse.

People on here were howling for Paul Martin to be sacked after his team went 13 games without a win in his first season. Funny that. Just saying like.

That might be the case, I can`t remember, but in those days there was no risk of dropping out the Scottish League altogether - a situation staring us in the face. Other strugglers like Stirling and Berwick seem to appreciate the seriousness of the situation .

Seems both Stirling and Berwick have tried to give themselves a chance of avoiding the drop scenario by not letting it run on and on.

What Paul Martin did with Rovers was nothing short of miraculous and one of the greatest ever achievements of any Rovers manager.
When we were on that terrible run it may well have been the right thing to do to ask him to stand down because it certainly took its toll on him and the team looked dead and buried.
However, he turned the water into wine and kept us up.
It is precisely that sort of "whataboutery" that is going to see us slip off the face of the footballing landscape.
Many staunch and well meaning Rovers fans think the best thing they can do under the circumstances is keep their mouth shut, support JB and the BOD and somehow hope that despite all evidence to the contrary we will start to string wins together....and it has to be wins because soon draws won't be enough.
These fans that have been the backbone of Rovers over the years but honestly guys we all need to step back and have a good dose of reality before it is too late.

John Brogan is no Paul Martin there is no way he is turning this around. I've made my mind up I'm not coming back until the chairman grows a pair and acts in my interest. He has ignored my words so Im now convinced the only way to save the club is actions that means I'm spending my weekend with friends and family the club needs to realise you dont have a god given right to our £13 a week
