So happy for Kevin, Eddie Haggerty and the much maligned Board. Let's not go overboard. Happy for KH. The board, well they got us here. No hand in anything positive from yesterday.

Need to keep performances like yesterday going, we've been given a life line and we just need to push a little bit further

Most of it has been said! The best away game I've travelled to in a long, long time, in terms of how I've felt after it! Well done to all, we really fought for our win, to the (very very extended) end! Just a thought or two about the game. The Stirling keeper made a great save from a strong shot by Gary Phillips to the keeper's right hand corner, maybe 3/4 way through the second half, so they had a saviour then! Unbelievably appalling referee, in the second half. seemed to view any kind of challenge as a foul but the worst thing for me was the ridiculous extension of time at the end. No doubt about it. I looked at my watch even before he finally blew .... it was 17.54. Did the second half start late>? Don't think so & no lengthy stoppages for injuries. I agree, we've been given a lifeline, we mustn't be complacent. Cowdenbeath.... I wasn't at the midweek 1-1 draw but it seems they kicked their way through the game, injuring my favourite Spanish player Gerrardo. So we have a score to settle there at Cliftonhill/Reigart next Saturday but Clyde will no doubt feel sore about their points deduction etc. and will give us a hard game on the 30th. Gosh, it's going to be heckova run in to the end!

I definitely do agree with your comments though regarding the ref, he was appalling in the second half.

The second half did ko about 5 mins late, but we were told he was adding 4 minutes and ended up playing over 6.... which felt like 60 so I can understand why Alisdair got mixed up 😂😂

Great post Alasdair - but should point out that we actually lost that midweek encounter in Cowdenbeath- but yes they did obviously target Gerard as being at that time our only real threat going forward. I think we’re better now in that respect and I hope we can get some kind of revenge on Saturday!

6 point Saturday.
Great fighting effort from the team, their keeper great save as mentioned, PJ as mentioned great save, first half was ours mostly, and while a fair bit of time was spent defending second half SA did not create too many chances, they did blow a few great chances hitting/heading by the post.
2nd half was a bit like against Berwick, Rovers breaking away and just making the wrong pass or overhitting the pass, but Gary P did have two good efforts late on. I don't usually comment on referees but where did the over generous injury time come from, Rovers supporters were up cheering the end of the game about 2 minutes in, had to wait another 3 minutes for a proper cheer. There was a lot of hard tackling but nothing outrageous, nothing that deserved a stream of fouls, particularly against Gary Phillips who I thought was going to have a seizure he was getting so worked up over the fouls being given against him. If you take the ball and the opponent falls over, how is that a foul.
The bad news is that this referee (looks like a 15 year old) I have been told is being fast tracked!!!!! (Good news for us, he will be doing the top stuff soon where he will be a sesation not unlike Willie Collum.)
Moreno has been a real find, Smart is a real handful, hard man to knock off the ball, Smart gives Newell support, and the two look a useful combination, and good to give Gary F a late run.
Clyde have given us a life line, and a great boost, but I agree that Berwick now have a motivator as well, so it is up to us to battle to the end.

The question I would ask is why has Fisher been given so little time. He came on v annan for 25 mins and gave us threat but never played last week and only 5/10 mins on saturday

The question I would ask is why has Fisher been given so little time. He came on v annan for 25 mins and gave us threat but never played last week and only 5/10 mins on saturday Lack of fitness, little match practice, etc possibly a bad reaction from the injury after his short game time against Annan, it takes a while to get back your sharpness after being out for so long. Pretty sure that Harper knows how important a player he could be for us but no use rushing him back into a team if he’s not ready. Not good for him or us in the long term.

Perhaps he's not fully fit yet? Maybe Jaydee could update us on Fish In terms of the injury he’s fully healed. He’s back in full training, but he has missed a lot of football. I would suggest the gaffer is being cautious to make sure he doesn’t suffer any muscular injuries that can happen all to easily when a player is rushed back into games.
