An astonishing season, and if the club are to progress there are many issues which would need addressing to ensure we are never so at risk again. For now though it should all be about Kevin Harper and the team which turned an impossible situation round. Full credit must go to them. Enjoy!!

As away days go that has to be up there with the best over the years. Massive congratulations to kevin, his staff and of course the players who have collectively prevented the doomsday scenario we all dreaded. When Berwick equalised in a few months ago in the 87th min i thought it was gone. So so happy to be proved wrong.
We should try and enjoy today. Not been that many moments to savour over the season. We've done it off our own back and in fine style. Ironically with current form we dont want the season from hell to end !!!!! We bossed that today. Some good saves from PJ but attacking wise we looked excellent. Everyone was right up for it. Smart again looked a class act up top.
What a great away support too. Today just had a special feel about it. You could see by the celebrations at the goals and at full time what our wee club means to us. Jaydee waving the supporters buses away as well as Eddie Haggerty acknowledging the troops as they left. An overwhelming sense of sheer relief.
We've pulled off a remarkable escape but when this dust settles and the hangovers clear make sure the lessons of the last season have been learned. Onwards and upwards. Those at the helm should use everything at their disposal to try and secure KH.
Special mention to the far travelled rovers fans today as well, whether it was stockton or shawhead, morpeth or muiryhall street, we all chipped in to get help get the boys over the line. So proud of the Rovers family today.

Astonishing, really. I’ve been a very vocal critic of the club’s approach to season 2018-19 and was 101% sure that our fate was sealed. A remarkable turnaround that must be credited to Kevin Harper, two inspired loan signings, and an admin error. Only the Rovers could be dead, buried, cremated, yet turn up relatively unscathed at the wake. Give KH the job (if he wants) and some form of budget - we could be witnessing the making of a special young manager. Onwards to 2019-20 and whatever that may bring... Jordie. A very humble apology Jordie. I tip my hat. Peter Jordie has nothing to apologize for Peter. His criticism of the Directors early season was valid and factually correct. We thankfully got out of jail yesterday but remember the not one Director has ever (individually or collectively) taken responsibility for the shambles of an appointment at the start of the season.

Well done to the manager, the players and more importantly the fans for their part in what truly was a great escape.
Let's enjoy this weekend and finish the season on a high next week.
But when the dust settles and we sit back and take stock of season 2018-2019 there are some massive lessons to be learned and in many ways the hard work will take place over the summer.
Talk of KH moving on seems nonsense to me. He has saved us from oblivion but I'm sure Kevin will be first to admit he is still learning his trade and will be keen to get his first full season with his own players under his belt.
We need to put the horrors of the JB appointment behind us but at the same time responsibility has to be acknowledged for the failure of that appointment.
No gloating from me at Berwick. Could so easily have been us and I wish them well in the play offs and hope by some miracle they survive.
For next season we need our better players secured as soon as possible to avoid our annual panic signings in the last week of July.
Really looking forward to next Saturday.A stress free football match. Can't wait.

Just one thing I need to mention here. The remarkable turnaround had lots to do with Kevin and Joe, lots to do with the 2 loan signings (as well as the rest of the boys) and finally the tragic and untimely passing of our friend and goalie coach Michael Duke. The talk before the Stirling Albion game was about him, Clyde and their admin team were never mentioned. Now I understand that there will always be doubts, simply because both happened at the same time (another reason the boys were so desperate to win yesterday to ensure the gap was bigger than those 3 points) but I firmly believe in my heart of hearts that Dukesy’s death brought together a group of players into a tight knit group. THAT is how I will remember this magnificent final quarter. #TheGreatestEscape #ForDukesy

Nice words Jaydee. Personally I think it was important that the gap was greater than the 3 points we were awarded from Clyde game.

It's astonishing to look at the discussion thread on Pie and Bovril after our 1-1 home draw with Berwick on 2nd March: www.pieandbovril.com/forum/index.php?/topic/260270-el-disastrico-albion-rovers-v-berwick-rangers/After that game it was a given that ARFC were relegated and Berwick were already looking to ensure a better 2nd Division campaign in 2019-2020. I asked at the time if anyone could name me a club who had ever survived after having a paltry 7 points so late in the season. No one gave me a single team who had done it. I can now. Albion Rovers F.C. Season 2018-2019.

It's been such an amazing and thrilling finish. It really feels like we have won the league. Kevin and the squad have presented a miracle.

Given your early opinions on the JB experiment I.e. before a ball was kicked. You know a wee bit more about the game than you let on 😉

Well, well where do you begin when attempting to sum up yesterday's events!
A fantastic performance & result from the guys - superb effort.
Not singling anyone out - a great joint effort from the players & management team.
And what a brilliant away support too - that must be up there with the biggest support we've ever taken to any away league game.
Cheers to everyone who travelled on the luxury McNairns coaches & thanks again to George for convening the 2nd coach.
Survival assured with one game to spare - if you'd predicted that about 6/7 weeks ago you'd have been sectioned!!!
Now let's just relax and enjoy next week's final home game - don't really care what the score is TBH.
ARFC OK!!
