Frustrating night. Matched cowdenbeath all night in most parts of the pitch. Deserved a draw at least. Same old story ultimately as last 3 or 4 games though.

We have been lucky the past 2 seasons that there has been 1 team poorer than us in the league ie Berwick,Brechin we need to realise this manager is out his depth and some of our players just ainβt good enough.

Decent performance - same old result would be the short summary. Don't agree we deserved a draw - I think we should have taken all 3 from a poor Cowden built in the image of their manager who basically bullied their way to an undeservered victory - but - that's football. Heard a few Cowden fans on the way out saying they were lucky to get all 3 points.
If See puts away a golden chance at 1-1 it's a different game. Also a blatant foul on Bryan Wharton missed by the officials just before their second - Jimbo - you would have been incandescent :-) But that's just excuses - doesn't get us any points.
Breadner looked good again when he came on and should possibly have scored after a good run. Think he needs a start.

Saw this the other day on a Berwick Rangers site....
"The club were seven points clear of Albion Rovers with a game in hand in March, but the Cliftonhill side were awarded three points after Clyde fielded an ineligible player against them.Rovers then won five of their last nine matches - including a 3-0 win at Berwick in the penultimate game - and eventually finished eight points above bottom spot. Over the past week Brechin have taken 2 points from 0-0 draws against Edinburgh and QP, then lost 0-2 to second half goals against Stirling. These 3 games were difficult fixtures against teams in decent form. Brechin's defence has improved with the addition of the centre half Petkov from Hibernian. When I saw them at Cliftonhill recently, there was not much between the teams attack wise, but Brechin's defence was chaotic. That has been addressed to some extent by the addition of Petkov, a tall dominating centre half who can play a bit on the deck too. At the same time Rovers have stumbled to defeat twice, apparently looking none too convincing while doing so. The run of games for Rovers and Brechin during February doesn't bode well for ARFC (especially if Brechin continue to tighten up at the back). Seven March fixtures for Rovers against teams riding high in the league (none against Stenny, Annan or Brechin) will stretch the threadbare pool to the limit. Injuries and/or suspensions to important personnel will be catastrophic. "
So that`s how an `outsider sees our situation...anyone who is complacent about our recent run or our league position really needs to look at last season`s history and how we came from behind to attain safety. We did it...Brechin cannot be underestimated either.

An excellent piece which highlights the danger we are in. To many ostriches around particularly where it matters.

Don`t think so Jim, even some of the BOD who were so keen to see off any new blood have disappeared....

To think we have only won 6 games this season is no where near good enough one year someone is not going to be as bad as Brechin or Berwick some improvements have to be made.
