Sadly, you are right...spoke to an ex Rovers Director the other day who was responsible for bringing some great talent to Cliftonhill in his day...he thinks Rovers would struggle against a fired up Kelty or Bonnyrigg...and he has seen both play a few times

Was thinking more in general terms with the lowland league clubs coming up. Our league status looks more precarious every season.

As a football Club we are not moving forward and there are a host of hungry and ambitious Clubs snapping at our heels.
Best case scenario for me is to limp on to the end of the season and hope Brechin don't catch us.
For me KH has not managed to improve the team from where it was at the end of last season and that to me is negligence.
Our current per game points ratio will see us relegated next season.

Just on this continued talk of these ambitious clubs that will wipe us out of existence.
Do any of these clubs actually have a sustainable model / fanbase. Or are they all just bankrolled by people who tend to get bored after a few years ? The attendances are maybe a bit more than ours but they play in a regonialised league and also being top of any league adds a few to the gate.
Cove seem to have pretty good crowds but is this the novelty/success factor. The lack of travelling fans at Cliftonhill suggests they arent "diehards" quite yet. Edinburgh City have had some abysmal attendances for a team doing so well. Two games this season have had under 200. If we had that people would be putting the "out of business" signs up outside Cliftonhill.
It seems to me these things are cyclical- like it or not we totally spent outwith our means for a few years won a league went to league 1 had some fun added a few to the gate then had to crash down to earth. Surely this will ultimately happen to these teams.

Possibly the case but these clubs coming up could in the short term get us relegated which would almost certainly finish us off. If we survive this season we could easily be next season's brechin or Berwick.

If we survive this season we could easily be next season's brechin or Berwick. Would it really though ? - I genuinely don't want to think about us losing our league status but it seems paradoxical to claim that these teams can do fantastic things and build themselves in the Lowland League but we would be dead on arrival. If East Stirling can survive it when they went down without even a stadium to their name im sure we could survive. We are currently debt free etc, it would just require us to cut cloth accordingly. I the more that league becomes more mixed between "traditional and non-traditional" clubs it will become a 4th division rather than a graveyard. That all said, lets not get into that situation I'd rather not put my theory to the test.

I would be astounded if we didn’t drop down to the LL by 2025...but expect it to happen much sooner. Not being negative, not at all, just realistic. Are for Harper? Time is up. Thanks for the greatest escape, but your lack of ideas is alarming and you are NOT managerial material.

We drop down and the ghosts would be circling for the money from the sale of the ground which would have to go. We couldn't afford to maintain it. No where to play and no money from the sale of the ground I suspect as certain shareholders would snaffle the lot. Agree with Jordie re harper. Busted flush!

I'm not saying we wouldn't survive the LL but it certainly leaves us vulnerable to the scenario Jimbo describes above.
I also wouldn't see us ever getting promoted from that league.East Stirling spent big last summer and still show no sign of escaping the LL.
For me it's a matter of time.

We are all doomed!
I am amazed at how many Corporal Jones's there are on here.
OK, I am a happy clappy, but I just think that there are many more reasons to be cheerful than otherwise.
