The Airdrie supremo has gone one further and wants the top 4 teams in each division promoted and the top 2 teams in the Lowland & Highland leagues promoted. This would make a 16 team premier.

Making it a 16 , 10, 10, 10 set up ?Can't see the premier league going with that. If expanding the leagues then should go for bigger leagues at the bottom.

so on current standings we would be in a league with Kelty/ Bonnyrigg/Queen's Park/ Brora/ Inverurie/ Stirling/ Annan/ Stenhousemuir and Brechin

I think all the clubs in the 2 Lower Senior leagues should look to merge the leagues- this would give 20 teams on a home/away basis with 38 games. The promotion/relegation play offs should follow along the same lines that occur in England. I would scrap the Tunnocks cup and replace this with regional local tournaments to fill the gap - Lanarkshire Cup style ? For the main leagues I would also like them to merge - but this is harder to resolve. If there is only 2 Old Firm games - there could be a Glasgow Charity cup with both Celtic and Rangers playing each other home/away - this would retain the 4 televised games. Just pipe dreams I fear - but the lower leagues need to establish some uniformity going forward

I think we should have just the 1 big league with no divisions. 42 teams and we are at home to half of them 1 season and the other half the next. After the 2nd season you could bring in divisions based on the combined performances.
It’d be quite a rollercoaster and anything but boring, not playing any side more than once a season.

1 big league playing all 41 teams with no specific end date to allow for current circumstances and starting around December (year unspecified) and ending at some point in the future! Cyberdyne systems willing! Take care out there and keep a healthy dose of cynicism! 😷👍

This has been mentioned already, but does the club actually need any financial help to stay afloat? More than happy to donate my game spend to any fundraiser if required.
Can someone from the club let us know, please?

Could we still do the 50/50 draw remotely? Pay what you would normally spend at a game for programme/pie shop/pints/admission for those who normally pay at the gate? Take out a leaf of Nairn’s book- community work to help the most vulnerable/use the club social media to promote local businesses?

As i said in another thread - totally happy to put what id normally be spending at home & away games into some sort of Gofundme type thing to keep the club going at this time.
These are quick and easy to set up but it would need to be done by a rep of the club. Could combine this with Bucky's idea to help the community. If we were able to use social media to point people towards things out in the community then im sure people would consider chucking a couple of quid our way even if they aren't necessarily fans !

I note that Raith Rovers have set up a justgiving.com page and are hoping to raise £25,000, and have already got 49% of that! Partick Thistle are looking to raise £20.000 on gofundme.com and have £1100 already.
I'd suggest not holding off and just getting one started ASAP.

Among options being considered is a move to 3 leagues of 14. It would mean no relegation from Prem, Dundee U & ICT come up, rest of Ch’ship joined by top 6 from L1, bottom 4 L1 join L2 clubs. No relegation from/promotion to L2.
