Among options being considered is a move to 3 leagues of 14. It would mean no relegation from Prem, Dundee U & ICT come up, rest of Ch’ship joined by top 6 from L1, bottom 4 L1 join L2 clubs. No relegation from/promotion to L2. This I like, play everyone twice then another 12 games post split? In the olden days when we had 14 teams it was play each other 3 times a season. One season you'd be at home twice to a team and in theory at least away twice the following year.

Well, it is season over for the Highland League! They were 13 points ahead of 2nd place with games in hand, so it would have been very difficult to catch them although 3rd place had games in hand themselves. HFL League Table

As the highland league has been concluded and there is talk of tweaking leagues surely the logical step would be to do it with promotion for the league winners and perhaps second place with no relegation. This would increase the top flight by two and other leagues would remain the same. It would also free a space for Brora Rangers to come up and also a space for the lowland league winners when they come to an agreement. Just a thought. Only issue I can see is trying to do the impossible task if keeping both sides of the old firm happy! Good luck with that one! 🤔
