During the pandemic:
Have you been self-isolating & need to get out?
Have you lost touch with friends & need new ones?
Have you been working from home & need fresh air & friendship or do you just fancy a wee bit of fun, exercise and lunch?
Your Community Trust has funding for a walking group. Our 12@12 Walking Group offers ' a COVID secure walking activity.' The group will be limited in number to ensure we meet the guidelines for outdoor non-contact sporting activity.
12@12 launches on Wednesday 28th October kicks off on Wednesday 28 Oct at 11.30am and 'runs' for 12 weeks.
• Arrive at Reigart Stadium (Albion Rovers) by 11.20am
• Track and trace details and temperature taken
• Set off with the Walk Leader for 12 minutes out and then 12 minutes back. This will give you your daily mile.
• On return you will be given a healthy ‘grab and go’ lunch bag.
• There will be socially distanced space available for those who wish to eat in our Hall of Fame lounge.
The group is open to all adults but they need to register to take part to make sure we are COVID compliant. PM me here or email on albionroverstrust@gmail.com

Great idea but unfortunately working so not suitable. Mind you, by the time I walked from the house would have done my mile and then some and would probably set off the temperature check from the exercise! Good luck!

The community trust has but the club hasn’t as yet. Really looking forward to this on Wednesday. Another great idea from Community Trust. Great response so far. Come along and join us. Open to all. You don’t have to be an athlete like me to take part! Ronnie

12@12 walking group have had 2 of our 12 sessions already. The numbers participating are about 15 and it has been great. Week 1 saw us walk a mile, smile and enjoy a socially distanced lunch in the lounge. Unfortunately, the new 5 tier coronavirus framework prevents us from going indoors but that didn't dampen spirits this week. The grab and go lunch was issued and most of the walkers ate it socially distanced in the main stand! Only disappointment - no football to watch.

ps - keep an eye on social media for news of our other projects: 4-4-2 reading challenge and ongoing upgrade of community facilities around the stadium.

More proof of our value to the community. Great stuff 👍 Always been a community club but the Community Trust’s initiatives in the last year have taken things to the next level and all that with volunteers ,unlike many other Trusts who have paid full time staff. Ronnie
