We’ve had no updates on club finances for some time. As far as I know there is no specific cash assistance for football clubs in Scotland other than the charity donations which can’t directly help pay wages etc.
I have to say I’m concerned, despite donations made as the streaming of the Annan match can’t have made much money as it seems most Rovers regulars didn’t buy it. Admittedly it was far from great viewing but still the club.
Yours Etc.

Bone of contention (another one) as when Westminster gave a bailout to English clubs we were, I assume, given a percentage under Barnett. If so it should have been ringfenced for football. Where did it go I wonder? Answers on a postcard to Bute House.

The EPL/EFL didn’t AFAIK get a bailout from HMG. The National League got cash from the lottery not from HMG.

Admittedly it was far from great viewing but still the club. Yours Etc. Concerned of Sunnyside! Dear Concerned of Sunnyside Your post is a thoughtful one, containing several interesting points. Firstly, the financial situation facing clubs is a serious one with the only good aspect being it doesn't affect just our beloved Rovers but all clubs both big and small. The money from the James Anderson Foundation via the SPFL has been an excellent help but you're right in saying that there has not been an injection of cash which can be used for the main cost in any business: wages, followed closely by utility and general upkeep bills. Scottish football badly needs money to keep going through these tough times. I know our local MSP has raised this issue in the Scottish Parliament , it would be good to hear if our representative in Westminster is pursuing this issue there also. A significant rescue package is needed and soon: any source will do. The Pay Per View is great in bringing in much needed revenue but I doubt it comes anywhere near the money taken in for a game in normal times. At least we didn't have to meet the initial outlay costs due to the great generosity of Mark Millar and whatever is raised through the livestreams is profit apart from cup games when we have to share with the away team. I'm sure the BOD monitors the finances carefully and regularly with an eye to the future and will issue accounts as normal to shareholders in advance of the AGM. Hope this helps Concerned of Sunnyside and I'm sure you will feel much more optimistic after our 1 - 2 win at Hamilton on Saturday and the thought of the Rovers sharing in a bumper PPV crowd! Uncle Ronnie
