Colin Mcpherson is a respected, experienced Scottish photographer and 'When Saturday Comes' contributor. He is part of the Document Scotland group who wholeheartedly supported the Rovers exhibition at Summerlee and is regularly seen in Nutmeg magazine. Colin is hosting an evening on Zoom where he will discuss the idea and themes behind his images. It's £8 but numbers are limited. Here's a link for tickets: www.colinmcpherson.com/shop/events/images-of-football-culture/... and a bit of background info from Colin - The Story Behind the Photograph Online on Friday 4th December, 2020 at 7pm (GMT) You are invited to join me at this special online event where I will be talking about a selection of images of football culture which I have taken over the last 15 years on assignment for When Saturday Comes magazine. I will discuss many of the ideas and themes behind the images and talk about my approach to photographing football and how my background as a supporter, amateur player, administrator, linesman, writer, coach, director, manager and photographer have influenced my view of the game. I will also explore how issues of class, race and identity shape football and the communities they represent.
