Albion Rovers Under 21s 4-1 Ravenswood By Connor Ryan Line-up: Karolis Grajauskas, Ryan Delahay, Kyle Burns, James Buckley, Craig Taylor, Hugh Stuart, Anton Dunlop ©, Kyle Hutcheson, Kai Chambers, Callum Wilson, Dimitris Boncota Subs: Cian Knotts, Lennon McShane (replaced Craig Taylor), Adam McArthur (replaced Ryan Delahay), Jack Pyper (replaced Kyle Hutcheson) , Nathan Venning (replaced Callum Wilson) Rovers made it 6 games unbeaten as they put in a brilliant first half performance to win away from home. Goals from man of the match Hugh Stuart, Dimitris Boncota, captain Anton Dunlop with a penalty, and an own goal saw Rovers race into a 4-goal lead just 27 minutes into the match before Ravenswood managed to get a goal back just before the half an hour mark. Rovers dominated most of the match, and it could have been a cricket score had it have not been for some poor finishing in the second half as well as a tough surface that caused the players to struggle to stay on their feet at times. Ravenswood would see chances of their own after their goal gave them some confidence going forward, one chance in the second half saw Ravenswood hit the post after a dangerous counterattack. Despite this it looked unlikely that Ravenswood would be able to manage a big comeback as the Rovers defence remained firm all throughout the game. Rovers will be most impressed with their first half performance and the good football they put on show throughout and will also be happy to have left the game against Ravenswood with a different result than last time’s shock 3-2 defeat. Rovers now shift their focus to Tuesday night where they face league leaders Cumbernauld Colts as Rovers look to gain a huge scalp and close in on the top end of the table. Goal scorers: Hugh Stuart, Dimitris Boncota, Anton Dunlop Man of the match: Hugh Stuart
