Following the departure of chairman Ian Benton from the board last week Rovers have been swift to announce a new addition to their ranks. He is Hugh Morrison, many of you will know Hugh from the club shop which he runs along with Roberta.
Hugh works for the NHS and lives in Livingston and has been associated with the supporters' trust for a number of years. In his earlier life he served in the RAF and was a part-time bingo caller amongst other jobs.
This may not be the only appointment to the board and there has been no announcement yet of a new chairman being chosen but perhaps that shall happen soon after the board has settled in it's new member(s).
My congratulations and commiserations go to Hugh on his new position!

I always find Hugh cool, calm, and collected, hopfully he can help calm the board and bring a bit of stability
On another note I am always quick to criticise and think it's only fair that the board are given credit for taking on "new blood" as quickly after bentons departure

Good luck Hugh. Now need a Chairman asap or at least one of the current BOD to take on those duties until one is in place.
A tough ask I know but these are worrying times.

Another new director in at the club
Statement below
Albion Rovers FC are pleased to confirm that Margaret Rizza has joined the club’s Board of Directors with immediate effect.
Margaret has an extensive background in business improvement and consultancy. Six years ago, she launched her own private consultancy firm, drawing upon her thirty-plus years’ experience in the sector.

Whats her motivation for joining?
Sounds like, finally, we have someone with business acumen on the board.

Hugh is an absolute gentleman who I'm sure will be a valuable asset to the Board. Also looks like Margaret does have experience of business.
