Seeing other clubs at our levels social media accounts this morning and some have been active turning players around. Any rumours our end or will it be status quo?
Be surprised if we hang onto Joe. Can't see anyone wanting anyone else.
We could definitely do with an improvement in 3 or 4 positions.

East Stirlingshire have just signed 2 quality players over the past 2 days, other clubs in the league are signing players as well, we’re massively lagging behind again

Anyone who signs for a LL club at this stage, how good are they actually gonna be and if they’re that good why the LL? Unless you’re getting silly money from EK. Some loan deals I think are our only realistic option.

If it's a case of not signing someone willing to come to the LL cause they will probably be rubbish, then genuinely what's the point in bothering anymore. We've been atrocious for most of the season and I'm sure I won't be the only one looking for something to make me want to watch the team again if and when we can get games played. Sometimes the hope of a new player being half decent is enough to make you want to go.

Morgaro Gomis (Ex Dundee Utd and Hearts) is one of the players who has signed for East Stirling. He is 38 years old now and was most recently with Clyde but he should still be able to pass the ball better than the majority of players in the lowland league. Kevin " Crunchie" Mcallister was 40 years old when he signed for us and he was superb. I think Gomis will do ok in the lowland league and he is a decent signing for them. I don't think he will be on mega money at Shire.

Sometimes the hope of a new player being half decent is enough to make you want to go. By all accounts our playing budget is £130k for this season, so yes we should be doing alot better. Where the money is going to come from for new signings I have no idea and besides is it prudent to commit more spending when our season is effectively over. I’m not saying don’t sign players, it needs to be targeted. The guy signed mid season Stephen O’Neill who supposedly was a great signing - I’ll be honest he’s been absolutely anonymous. Some of our loan signings in recent years in the main have been good that’s where we need to target.

All it takes these days is a club to be a Twitter post up about a new signing, 2 or 3 folk reply to it saying “what a signing” then everyone goes gaga.

To be brutally honest I think he was finished when he left Falkirk.

Sign of the times when our transfer window chat revolves around other clubs activites That’s my point about social media announcements about hyped up signings- that’s what they are designed for. Meanwhile in the background if a player is that good why is he in the LL diddy league.
