Clear EK have moved early, then, to get him integrated into the squad in time for the play-offs.
Whether they end up facing Clyde or the Highland League outfit (Brechin looking quite likely) having a player with significant League Two experienced under their belt in such a crucial game could be vital.
As I’ve alluded to earlier, we’ve been defensively superb this season and this hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Slightly agree with Stewmelrover which means I'm probably wrong. A few weeks ago he was celebrating his 150th Rovers appearance and had probably already agreed to join EK by then.
It's a short life being a footballer and even at our level money talks so no one can begrudge him maximising his earning potential.
Personally I don't like EK as a football Club but that may be partly down to jealously.
They are a club on an upwards trajectory and we were a Club in terminal decline over the last decade waiting for our inevitable slide into the Lowland League.
The player I wish well but EK I would quite like to see fail in their promotion bid. Childish I know but there you have it.

" I would quite like to see fail in their promotion bid" I know where you are coming from - but I think waving them bye bye with their money man would benefit the whole league. Or they fail to go up and the money man / manager etc all go somewhere else !

EK win the league, EK win the High/Low play off, EK win the Lg2 play off.
Lowland League pretty much of a muchness after that, gives Rovers a fighting chance next season I would suggest.

When/if EK go up though, Brian, there is the suggestion that significant money will be ploughed into Bo’ness/Linlithgow/Tranent because of how big an opportunity it’ll be to get out of the LL without EK in it.
We won’t be alone, in other words, and it’ll maybe even get that wee bit more difficult.

We've lost our 2 best players in the past 6 weeks. It's one thing getting a few quid, but from a football POV some of that needs to be used in making the team better.
I'm not living in dreamland thinking we will go out and spend every penny, however we are weaker now than we were at the start of January and that was still miles off winning a league.
I have also heard the theory Jordie has just mentioned, therefore next season could be tougher again.

Assuming he has played his last game for us.
I am surprised nothing has been announced by both clubs yet

East Kilbride boss Mick Kennedy hailed Sean Fagan for his debut display which helped Kilby keep their first clean sheet in the Lowland League since January 6.
The former Albion Rovers captain signed last month but was cup tied for EK’s last two games.
He came straight into the starting line-up for their Lowland League clash away to East Stirlingshire on Saturday and impressed on his maiden outing with a shutout that laid the foundations for EK to claim a 2-0 victory at Falkirk Stadium.
Tiwi Daramola headed home just before half-time and Robert Thomson sealed the win in the second half for Kilby’s 22nd victory in 28 games, putting them within two wins of the title and the pyramid play-offs.

Kennedy said: “We want to go into the play-offs with a bit of momentum and the last couple of games we have started to get back to the levels we were at before Christmas.
“Sean Fagan came in for his first game on Saturday and he was outstanding, helping us keep a clean sheet, so we are in a good place again.
“I thought we were excellent on Saturday. We controlled the game and I can’t remember Matty Connolly having a save to make. We had loads of possessions and loads of opportunities.
“The boy in goal for East Stirling was outstanding. I don’t know how many saves he made, but he was exceptional and kept us to two goals.
“From our point of view, it’s another three points and got us a step closer.”
New EK signing Sean Fagan (Image: EKFC) East Kilbride are in Lowland Cup action tonight when they host Gala Fairydean Rovers in a semi-final tie and they then return to league business on Saturday at home to second-place Bo'ness United, where a win will put them on the cusp of the title.
Kennedy added: “Saturday doesn’t quite make it for us if we win, as goal difference would make it mathematically possible for us to be caught, but we will win it when we win it.

Not sure if I should laugh or cry reading this but I think I will default to crying.
