FT Result:
Hamilton Accies 3 v 1 Albion Rovers
GS: Ryan Watt
Way below our own standards on the day and in a very poor first half which saw us lose the half 3-1. Much improved 2nd half however overall just wasn't good enough - bad day at the office. We will dust ourselves down and move on to the next and amend what went wrong today.
All credit to Hamilton Accies as they are very well organised side and stick to there own game plan extremely well.
Next up to redeem ourselves is an away trip to Pollock FC on Thursday night. This is the first time the lads have tasted defeat since the team was formed 2 and a half months ago and will be interesting to see the reaction from the players.

The under 19's won their match more comfortably that the 2-0 scoreline suggests.

I echo what "Roy of the Rovers " has stated above - yesterday was a very controlled performance only real complaint is we would like to have scored more goals. Would like to say thank you as well to any Vers that came along yesterday we really do appreciate the support and we hope you weren't disappointed with what you saw.

It was great to get the time to watch the under 19s yesterday, got soaked, but must say was impressed by what I witnessed, some good young talent, played good controlled football. Clydebank were the older and more experienced team, but in the end, they were slowly broken down by the AR 19s squad.
Great to speak with the parents who all said they were enjoying the experience along with the young players. Well Done to all, Manager, Coaches and mostly the parents for enduring long spells of heavy rain, but it did not dampen the enjoyment.
