Please ignore my previous post as I messed it up. I read that article too and my thought was don't believe everything you read in the papers (regarding promotion). I am happy to go along with the top 6 finish that was mentioned by John at the meet the manager do. I was happy with what he said that night and have now bought a season ticket whereas before I was having doubts about doing this before this meeting. Of course it is a gamble to appoint him but what isn't as most managers appointed are risky like when Darren Young was appointed and probably Steven Gerrard at Rangers, but yes time will tell especially as most of the squad will be new again. Will gladly go back though to see how the season unfolds. Glad you've bought the ST, rhythm. I thought what the manager said on the night was fine. And whilst you're right in that the appointment of any manager is risky it's the filling of the team with guys from the juniors that is the biggest gamble for me. These guys may well be undiscovered world beaters. But let's be honest, although there undoubtedly will be one or two hidden gems, is there really a whole team full? As I said above, if it was that easy then everyone would be doing it.

From the Kilbirnie website - "Ladeside goalkeeper Kieran Hughes has decided to leave the club. Kieran has been a great servant to the club, picking up an Ardagh Cup winners medal in 2016. Who can of course forget his heroics in the penalty shoot out at Penicuik in the Scottish Cup. The club would like to thank the big man for his numerous excellent performances and WISH HIM THE VERY BEST IN HIS PURSUIT OF A CAREER AT A HIGHER LEVEL." Interesting last comment....... Keiran Hughes has signed for Clyde

Roll on the new season instead of the silly season. Frankly couldn't give a flying **** who Clyde are signing or about minor board changes. It's all about Saturdays (and Tuesdays), the big bumpy green rectangle and the guys in yellow and red whoever they may be and whoever's in charge. Bring it on. Can't wait.

Whatever. What goes on at board level is out of my control therefore I don't concern myself with it. Life's to short to worry about stuff beyond your control. It's the fitba that counts.
