Kelty hearts led the way a couple seasons ago joining EOS and won it this season. They then beat the south of Scotland champions Threave Rovers and will now be playing in the lowland league next season
Is Junior football finished it's in some state even compared to just 10 years ago

Don't think it's finished. Like everywhere else it will have it's good parts and bad parts. More importantly Rovers should still be scouting the Junior ranks for potential talent.

Cracking point Bucky. There is a wealth of talent in the Junior ranks. I often pop along and watch Broxburn Athletic and the standard is pretty good.
An example of this is Scott Pittman who yesterday was a pivotal part of the Livingston side promoted to the SPL.
3 years ago Scott was playing for Broxburn and at the then age of 23 probably felt his chance of full time had gone.
Livingston took a chance on him and he has just had a cracking season.

Do Rovers have any scouts nowadays ? Totally agree about talent in Junior football. Didn`t Robert Watt unearth a few` gems` during his time as a Director.?

I'm sure Robert was responsible for Gordon Lennon amongst others.

Josh Mullin also played junior before joining us, and he’s also won promotion to the top flight with Livi

Its not just junior football, there are more than a few amateur teams out there that have some decent players.....just need to wear out some shoe leather to look for it

I sometimes catch Linlithgow Rose and Boness Utd - some of these guys should be in the SPFL - but the cash these junior clubs offer can embarrass league clubs at times

As I said in OP both these clubs have applied to join EOS but when it comes to money there is no money left in junior football people all go on about how much money junior clubs have. Bottom line is they don't offer more than most senior clubs. Alot of junior clubs just don't pay players any money player play for free. I know of 1 club who have missed paying players wages more than a few times this season and nothing gets done about it as it's not seen as a problem. The ones that do pay well don't really account for where it comes from and not all the wages necessarily go through the books not that I'm alluding to dodgy business .... but imagine this happened at higher levels of the game

Think Junior clubs offer a `signing on ` fee rather than a regular wage

I'm sure Robert was responsible for Gordon Lennon amongst others. Good wee story goes with Rab Watt signing Gordon Lennon for Rovers. Harmony Row were playing an amatuer cup final at New Broomfield with a host of scouts there to watch Lennon. However, Lennon got completely overshadowed by Stephen Donnachy (who would also sign for Rovers) which allowed wee Rab to nip in and sign Lennon.

That's broxburn athletic the latest junior club looking to join the EOS, basically meaning almost every Lothian based club has left the juniors or are looking to leave.
