Alan Reid has announced he’s leaving Rovers after 11 years loyal service. I’m very sad to hear that bombshell & wish him well in the future.

Sorry to hear that, as he was a good contributer to the overall squad efforts. Was hoping he'd be one of a few who would be around for the struggle next season. Wish him all the best though.

Gutted. Farewell to one of our stalwarts. All the best. Will always be one of my rovers heroes along with Ciaran and the beast from a great point in the Vers history. Well worn cliche but definitely a new era now.

Best of luck to him - he owes us nothing after his efforts over the years.

His contract ends this week, stating he won`t be re-signing so I guess he will just wait and see who comes along and makes him an offer. As Fineen says he has served the club well, owes us nothing and probably feels now is the time for a change. Can`t blame him really.

Best Wishes to Reidy, whatever he decides to do in the future. One of the all time greats, loyal, solid defender but with attack always in mind, good communicator with supporters. Thanks to him for 11 years of hard graft, gave his all every game I saw him, from kick off to final whistle.

Disappointing news however all the best to Reidy for 11 years of superb service.
Solid reliable defender who, as mentioned above, always gave his all in every game.
Good luck Alan in whatever direction your career takes you from now on.

Daft comment Harris - as you say, he's been here for a week. Give the guy a bit of breathing space!!!

I've been in touch with Alan and thanked him for all he has done for and achieved at the club and to wish him all the best for his future. Alan has made it clear the high esteem he holds the club and he will recall his time at the Rovers with fondness. He would like to thank all who have given him support over his 11 years at Cliftonhill.
