Will miss this one as I'm down south for the weekend. Probably a blessing in disguise as I don't hold out much hope but you never know. Back for thistle on Tuesday for an even bigger humping!

With 3 full-time championship opponents in 8 days I'm not holding out any hope at all but if that doesn't prepare us for the league campaign nothing will.

No prediction for this one other than I hope the guys can give a good account of themselves against full-time opposition.
The next 3 games are all about the manager establishing his best team for the forthcoming League 2 campaign.
However, optimistic as always - C'mon Rovers - let's do this!!!

Brilliant performance by the Rovers today. Massive improvement on last Tuesday. I can see vast improvements in all areas. My man of the match was the goalkeeper. He played great. Keep it up lads. Only disappointment was the local taxi driver who put a £100 match ball in his boot. He didn't know he was seen by officials. The stewards recovered it at the end of match when they challenged him. Sad reflection on all law abiding taxi drivers. Hang your head in shame.

Somewhat encouraging that it wasn't a massacre. Back from hols on Tuesday and looking foward to seeing a whole new side, none of whom I'll recognise - how come no Fisher?

Thought we battled away and no disgrace in the scoreline. Few final balls let us down but we broke down Ayr (who had their first team out) on a few occasions. Keeper was my motm followed by the two centre halves who were superb today. Big laddie from Lanark looks like a real handful... Kearney played really well and everyone gave 100%... Few small steps in the right direction and a good crowd.

played well, no disgrace in scoreline against full time opposition, made Ayr work for the result and heads never went down. GK and number 6 look good from what i saw today, overall more than happy with our showing. onwards and upwards.

Agree with everything said . We competed well and only the full time fitness of Ayr was beginning to show at the end. The next 2 games we should really view as experience/ match fitness as we will not encounter these type of opponents in our league campaign and it would be no disgrace if we lose both. The main focus should be Edinburgh City and beyond on August 4th.
