So Hearts played an ineligible player against Cove Rangers in the Betfred the other day. They say it was "inadvertent", well duh! I'm sure no league team has deliberately done that for more than 100 years.
What punishment do we think they'll get on Monday when it's decided? As they're playing another game tomorrow in the competition I can't see them being kicked out and suspect a loss of the 3 points gained, a paltry fine with a suspended element to it should they cock it up again.

Disgraceful but entirely predictable from the wallies who run Scottish football. Got to protect the big boys.

I wonder if our wee local journalists will mention this in the Record/Advertiser. They had a great laugh when we were thrown out last year; but different rules for the 'big' teams it would seem.

I know it was a different competition, but this decision is grossly unfair on us. Hearts are allowed to continue; we were booted out.

The precedent, although harsh, was set last year. Shouldve been nothing other than 3-0 Cove and a fine to Hearts. If they then managed to qualify from the group, then fair enough.

Their punishment is less than Rovers. Why not 3points?

Hearts beat Cove, and this means that they have gained a point from it. Rovers were booted out. Grotesquely unfair.
