I left Cliftonhill on Saturday afternoon feeling, for the want of a better word, hollow. Another defeat. An improvement, yes, but you don’t notch up any points for looking more able.
During the drive home, I had time to reflect on the game and the ongoing (and growing) discontent at the club. When did a 1-0 home defeat warrant, in some areas of the ground, RAPTUROUS applause at the full-time whistle? Were the rumours true that the game was in danger of being postponed in light of Health & Safety concerns and, if so, what would the financial ramifications be for the club?
Why are we lacking a quality striker who, in these type of games, could mean the difference between 0 points and 3? The most pressing question, though, is the shambolic situation in the Boardroom. Why, over the last year, have a number of Directors came and went without any explanation? The lack of transparency is alarming and, at any other football club in the country, would ignite huge discontent among supporters. I would ask, politely, that the BoD work to improve transparency to avoid the loyal (paying) customer being left in the dark. Ronnie’s appointment as Chairman (via his membership of the BoD via the trust) was supposed to achieve just that. Unfortunately, it would seem to have resulted in the very opposite. Answers on a postcard…

Nah I wouldn’t say it’s answers on a postcards...
Its over to the Chairman.
Tell the fans what’s going on, why are all these directors leaving? Why did you appoint a manager from the juniors and why did you allow all these players to be signed knowing that they probably wouldn’t be good enough. If there are people waiting on the wings to come in and help the club, why aren’t they in already and what they waiting for?
I and I’m sure others look forward to the update on the above.
