Im not going to pretend what im talking about here because im well out my depth,,,,BUT as far as shares go how much are shares in our club valued at? and i know there are folk who have shares at cliftonhill passed down to them but probably couldnt find the stadium using google maps,,,,would it be possible for shareholders who either have no interest or havent set foot in cliftonhill since the fans stopped throwing coins into bed sheets to sell their shares at share value price to the ordinary fans who go week in week out with passion? Think it's about 2 shillings and six pence (ish) that much eh,might need to send the wee fella up a few more chimneys,,,or start clamping cars at home bargains

So With this share debate going on, just saying, so us fans and myself that pay into the players fun every month, with a good amount of money, this would be great for fans, with this share thing going on,or any other way around it, or could we add more money, or open a new account for shares, best person to ask would be Bill.

What started out as a football matter regarding the current manager seem to have turned into some kind of attempted coup by some egos with little to back it up. Every opportunity is taken to beat up the current board with rumours of saviours (fagans?) waiting in the wings to arrive on their white horses to save the day. Let's get back to the on the pitch matters which are dire and leave the off the pitch matters to those in charge who are no doubt doing their best.

A few names on here are passing their personal opinions only. The reality is the BOD have the support of so many on the terraces and I'd rather focus on giving JB and the team our support at this time.

Harriskid, the Squad Fund is donating £500 per month to the club’s player budget between now and the end of the season, thanks in part to a generous £170 per month from the Supporters Trust. This season’s top priority has to be getting things right on the park (to avoid the dreaded plummet into non-league oblivion) and we Squad Funders are certainly doing our bit in that regard. Supporters Trust members have talked in the past about acquiring a significant ARFC shareholding, but I can’t see that happening any time soon. Right now, it’s all about SFL survival. We’ll know by the end of the first quarter if that’s a realistic aspiration.

Btw, in case anybody thinks I’m skulking behind a pseudonym, ha ha, my name is Bill Walker and my fizzog is fairly well known to most Cliftonhill regulars 👀

There is a lot of raking over old coals at the moment on the board and I can understand that to be honest.
Fans not being able to easily purchase shares in the Club is one of those.
The financial mismanagement of the Club is another as is our revolving boardroom door.
But all of these valid issues need to be shelved just now to concentrate on our league position.
Everything else pales into insignificance.
I was really hoping the International break would have afforded the Club time to make a statement regarding the managers position.
Either they feel JB can turn this around or they don't.
If Option 1 then say so and ask the fans to show some solidarity for team and manager.
If it is Option 2 then they must ask the manager to step down with immediate effect.
Leaving the situation as it is until the end of 1st quarter of matches have been played will, in my opinion be too late.
If the Club say JB is staying and that is final then he has my unequivocal support.
To do neither is sheer negligence.

I’m afraid it’s a foregone conclusion.

I’m surprised at the lack of info, gossip call it what you want that has came out of Thursdays trust meeting. Was both the Manager and Chairman not supposed to be having 10 minutes each. It might be that it’s only for trust members but as the minutes of those meetings are posted on the other page then it can’t be that. Have those who attended the meeting been stunned into silence?

The full list of Albion Rovers Football Club Limited shareholders can be found on public accesible record on Companies house website via the link below beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/SC010466/filing-historyClick on the link and when the page opens scroll down to the entry `21 Mar 2018 Confirmation statement made on 31 January 2018 with updates` . There is a 16 page pdf document when opened will show the most up to date list of all the shareholders. I appear on the roll at No.28 under `T Cullen`...( my first name Thomas). My grandfather (long deceased) purchased these (12 ordinary shares) when the club became a limited company in 1919.

Agreed, Sam. I couldn’t make it to Thursday nights meeting, like many others, but it’s important fans know what was said by all who attended, not least the manager and Chairman. A brief report would be most welcome.

It is now more than one week since I posted the above Open Letter to the Board of Directors of Albion Rovers Football Club Limited. Sadly, and perhaps not unexpectedly there has been no response, either directly or indirectly. I, and others believe that valuable time continues to be lost, time which could be employed to try and remedy the critical situation that our 136 year old club finds itself in, both on and off the field. Are shareholders – and supporters – to be expected to wait upon the whim of the current Chairman and his co-directors before they call an Annual General Meeting of the Company, where the situation could be discussed, motions made and decisions taken which might go some way to try and alleviate our position ? Waiting until November, December – or like the 2017 meeting into January of the following year will be too late, the decline will be irrevocable and even if there was a change of stewardship then what could anyone realistically do at that time – start planning for the Lowland League ?. At the most recent meeting of the Trust the Club Chairman made the following statement `Board of Directors are open to all positive ideas and welcome suggestions. Encourages all to speak up` Why then has there been no response to the original post, or a reaching out via the suggested conduit to those who wish engage with the current Board of Directors to find a way forward which might reverse the club`s decline ? The current Board of Directors of ARFC Ltd – as in any company owned by shareholders – are custodians of the business on behalf of those shareholders but the BOD seem to hold the opinion that it is they, and only they, who have the club`s best interests at heart. An arrogant assumption. It has been the stated intention of the Chairman to stand down from office in `October` - is that still the case and would it not be more appropriate and in the best interests of Albion Rovers Football Club Limited to do so at a General Meeting open to all shareholders, to be held as soon as possible ( I need not reiterate the time factor) where his replacement would be elected by the shareholders and subsequently enjoy their support having been put in place by them, rather than shuffling the current boardroom pack.

Grant - judging by your posts over the past few weeks reckon you should take over as Chairman, Director, Manager et all!! What are your ground breaking ideas for running Rovers from the playing & business side?
