I’ve noticed, with growing interest, that some members of this forum are being referred to as ‘an angry mob’ or ‘detractors’ over the last few weeks. It saddens me that it is deemed unacceptable by some to question why we’re in our current predicament and what, exactly, the Board of Directors plan to do about it. Speaking for myself, the future of our football club is my only concern – no sinister intentions exist. What we can’t allow is the actions of those in charge to go unchecked and accept their decisions without question – that is the real danger here. I do believe that there is a tangible probability that, in the event of relegation, the club could die a slow and painful death. The Chairman’s posting the other day - which invited ‘questions’ from fans - has been applauded by some. I, for one, cannot see any of the more thorny issues being addressed in the programme notes. That worries me. I do hope that, in the event of an AGM, open and frank conversations are had about the immediate dangers facing ARFC. Things on the pitch have improved ever so slightly, but I remain unconvinced that JB is the ‘man for the job’. Call me a detractor, naysayer, or ‘angry’ but my stance will not change. Our position in the SPFL? Well, that’s the only thing that may be subject to change. Watch this space! Jordie.

Hi Jordie,
I wonder if this may be in part a reference to a my tweets yesterday , was just having a bit of a laugh.
Apologies if my "happyclapper" ways have offended , but you have to see the irony surely ?
I just thought its funny for people to demand the chairman answers questions for weeks on end then when he comes on and offers to do so the people complain about it. The Chairman has offered to do so in various forms of media , Programme, Online , Paper and in person , Short of him coming to your door I'm not sure what you want. I accept there is a difference between him answering your questions and you liking the answers which is fair enough.
I think the Ronnie has been pretty honest and frank only today he has said in the paper basically that Brogan will be out in two weeks if things remain the same. I'm reasonably happy with that makes sense to do it at a time where there is a break etc. For the avoidance of any doubt im not a "happy clapper " or whatever . I dont think were a good football team at the moment and I have no confidence in John Brogan as manager.
I do think that the business of the club and the footballing side are distinctly different sides. I dare say that we might have been in more danger of going out of business when we were winning the league or competing in League 1 and spending outwith our means, but thats not really the time it gets noticed.
Belts have been tightened this year to ensure the survival of the club hence the reduced budget we are probably in a better position now than we were at some points in the last few years. I'll also accept that lowland league football is perhaps the intersection of the venn diagram where the business and the football side meet and that worries me, hopefully with a better manager we can get enough points together to survive.
Although again there is a strange school of thought were the Lowland league seems to be concurrently oblivion for our club and home to some of the best run clubs with great players and managers in the lower reaches of the Scottish game.
Anyway most of that is by the by but I thought i'd get most of it out as I probably wont comment on all the other threads.
Cheers Sam
