Been tidying out the loft and found these shots on slides which I took in the late 60s, very early 70s of Rovers at Cliftonhill - first picture is against `Shire, the second two v Montrose. More to follow

These two were taken at Stenhousemuir and Cowdenbeath respectively - Stenny`s ground is unrecognisable today compared with almost 50 years ago

If I dig some more out will post them.....there is bound to be a lot of `nostalgia` stuff out there which can be shared on the boardline now that `Nostalgia` has its own slot

Those are tremendous: Cliftonhill looks superb; just as it was when I first went in 1976. The strips would definitely date them as mid-to-late 60s.

I know its not football - but it is Cliftonhill - packed for the speedway - think in the late 1960s, the slide has no date on it.

God I remember those ball boy tracksuits, heavy feckers to wear, worse when it rained....then again you could put on the black capes they used to give us that if you could find one without any holes that the rats had nibbled through

Great pictures , Grant. I can't make out any of the faces but I just might be in 1 of those taken at Cliftonhill, in the centre of the covered terracing, a few steps up. My 11 year old sister, a real tomboy at that time, came with me to Ochilview in April 1969, when I think it was a 2-2 draw, Kenny Jenkins scoring. We were standing either in the right hand corner of the photo you've posted, or the opposite corner, if it was that game. She attempted to climb a pole nearby to get a better view.... as if that wasn't enough, she disappeared down the tunnel after the players and reappeared about 10 mins later, beaming all over her face, having got autographs from all our players on the programme, which I still have.
