The crowd was given by Rovers as 512 against St. Mirren last night.
I note from messages on Twitter that it’s not just me who are convinced the crowd was much larger. I estimated nearer the 1000 mark but certainly can’t see it having been less than 800.

Someone on twitter suggested crowd figures are `undereported` to avoid paying tax (VAT I presume) - surely not.....HMRC will come down on any business - football or otherwise - who pull a stunt like that

I counted 511. The tax man owes us a refund!

Thought it was way more than that but regardless it's a nice little earner. Here's hoping for a bigger crowd on Saturday as we chase 2nd spot!!

Takes one HMRC audit and your world collapses. That's why most businesses take out HMRC Audit insurance. They are meant to be hell on earth!!!

I totally agree there was a lot more, The turnstiles do have an electronic counter in there which goes up every time someone goes through the turnstiles. 512 was for paying customers from what I can gather. Anyone from the board or turnstiles that can weigh more info in would be appreciated.

Probably all the complimentaries and freebies under the guise of journos, scouts, and friends of Gus! :-D

When I was at the Club crowd numbers had to include paying customers, season tickets, complimenteries, scouts, both teams, officials, stewards and board members. Always thought it gave a false picture of attendences but that was the ruling.
As for St Mirren game I actually reckoned that the crowd was around the 500 mark
