With my social diary a bit constricted at present I got to thinking about internationalists who have played for the Rovers.
I know John White is the only player to play for Scotland while playing for the Rovers but I know we have had players who went on to gain international caps or who had gained them before they came to play for us.
I'll start off with goalkeeper Jim Brown( Scotland) and Danny Hegan ( Northern Ireland) both after leaving the Rovers.
There must be more.

Tony Green (Scotland) is the probably the most obvious apart from Jim.
Tommy Gemmell manager played for Scotland, Joe Baker coach played for England.
An outlier should be Willie Currie, played for amateur Scotland, also played for Great Britain in the Olympics, the only Scot, some of this might have been while playing for Rovers.
Robin's book has an appendix that lists various players and the countries that they played for, only lists up to 1986 when the book stops.

I've seen two ex-Rovers players play in international matches:
- Sam Malcolmson - for New Zealand v Scotland, World Cup 1982 - Peter Dickson - Scotland U23s v Holland U23s 1976
Scott Shearer was in international Squads but I don't think got any full caps - he played in a B international. Another keeper - Allen McKnight played for Northern Ireland.
'Boys From the 'Brig' lists some others, but failed to mention Alec Bennett, who played for Scotland pre-First World War and for Rovers in 1920-21...he may also have been the only player who ever moved directly from Celtic to Rangers (in 1908 - two weeks after scoring the winning goal v Rangers to win the title for Celtic...Mo Johnston eat your heart out)!

Joe Baker assistant under Davie Provan and manager in later years. Capped by England at both u/23s and senior level - was he unlucky not to get into the 1966 squad !
