As reported in the newspaper the stadium will no longer be officially named as Cliftonhill but instead will be known as Exsel Group Stadium. A five figure sum has been secured for the naming rights for 1 (one) season.
Personally, I think this is a great bit of business for the club so well done to all involved in getting the extra revenue into the club.
I suspect it may upset a few of the old timers but does the name of the stadium really matter? It will still be known to the majority as Cliftonhill. I don't even call it that, i normally refer to it as The Coatbridge San Siro.

Agree with Chris but we all know our grounds name and its nicknames. So why not, five grands five grand.

So, Coatbridge Albion Rovers will play at Cliftonhill Exsel Group Stadium, fine by this old timer.

Agree with Chris but we all know our grounds name and its nicknames. So why not, five grands five grand. Five figure, not five grand. So at least 10 grand.

Good piece of business by the club. 10 grand (at least) is not to be sniffed at.

Agree this is a great deal for the Club. Well done to all involved in agreeing it. Some of the Giants of European football have their stadiums sponsored so why not the MIGHTY Rovers
