I've just realised that IIRC this glorious year marks 20 years of this message board (albeit I've changed provider a few times) and it's associated website www.premierchamps.com which I changed to www.albionrovers.com when I acquired that more appropriate if predictable domain. The website which I ran with contributions from my late Father and some players, most notably Chaz McLean has been dormant for around 10 years now, doesn't time fly!

I recall joining this message board or one of its predecessors quite some time ago - around 2008, I think because it was the last time we wore yellow and red stripes. I was really pleased to see the result this weekend. I know I haven't posted on here in a while - I've been reading the posts on and off, but I've had some health issues - a quadruple bypass, two further hospitalizations and a bunch of other things but I'm alright now. I think. No more playing football for me though - sadly at 62, I've had to hang up my boots.

Great opportunity to say thanks for all the work on this David !
Im my formative Rovers following years the website was key to diving into being a Rovers fan. I always enjoyed reading your Dads match reports after games along with your pictures and on occasion short video clips (at least 17 years ahead of the robot cameras and streaming).Charlie McLean's (my first favourite player !) posts were a great insight into the thoughts of our players long before Twitter !
I'm sure I'm not the only one for who the website and board have been a key part of our "fandom" , even with all the rants/arguments/speedy bikers we'd be lost without it.
Thanks again - heres to 20 years more !

Thanks again - heres to 20 years more ! You’re right Sam. David deserves praise for keeping the forum going for 20 years. It has provided an excellent forum for considered debate mostly and the occasional mad moments. It has also provided a good route for the BOD to speak directly to a good percentage of our fan base, if the board choose to use it. Speedy biker is still going strong in Hamilton. More speedywalker these days. Ronnie

Well done David. Especially over the past few months when you mum has been very ill and you've still focused on Albion Rovers. Praise God she is improving and the squirrels will be getting fed again soon.
I tip my hat to you sir.

So, that is/was who Speedy biker is/was, interesting.
David, good to hear your Mum is on the mend.
If you had asked me, I would never have thought that the message board was 20 years old! Well done, keep up the good work.
