The number 1247 sticks in my mind as the attendance a few years ago which led to us getting the record low all ticket attendance. That was before we built the new terracing at the Airdrie end!

Hi Joe
Yes I think it's fair to say I'm a convert from Celtic to Albion Rovers. I'd say I've switched from a Celtic fan keeping an eye on Rovers' results, to a Rovers fan keeping an eye on Celtic's results.
I agree that any initiative run by the club must be financially viable. It's no good putting the club at risk now for potential benefits in the future. Hopefully extra program & cafe sales would go some way to negate the gate losses from kids getting free entry. They also help create an atmosphere.
I do think that fans are closer to the players in the lower leagues. Not so much in the sense that they live nearby, but in the fact that they make themselves more available to fans. I've lost track of the number of times a former Rovers player has turned up for the opposition and went into the crowd to talk to someone.

So would the figure be nearer the 2500 quoted in this article from the Record in Dec 2014? Still getting mixed info on this, any help appreciated. Shame the club website doesn't list any stats/facts. www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/albion-rovers-terrace-plans-double-4826333Thanks

27500. Even allowing for the ground being a bit larger in those days I wouldn't have fancied being in that crush!

That is a weird one, Wikipedia states 1572 and sites a page on the official site that talks about tickets and doesn't list capacity. The SPFL website has the old capacity of 1238, I thought it was around 1500 so 1572 sounds closer to the mark.
