Aye but where is stone now and who will be in goal now. Are we now going to rely on unreliable loans who could be be recalled at any moment. This is a monumental cock up. Binnie's record was outstanding and most of the blame for less clean sheets was a lousy defence. Stone was outstanding in his first loan period but was distinctly average last season and no better than Binnie. This has caused us to lose our keeper. An absolute joke and totally predictable! 😠👎
Stone had a 60% clean sheet record with the same defence and compared to stone was costing us a fortune lol
Binnie was never going to stay, I wouldn't be surprised if he was offered less money as the manager didn't fancy him
Would only say that the defence had improved when stone returned. Binnie did well under the circumstances and remember all those penalty saves which were given due to crap defending/refereeing. As for the manager not liking Binnie that beggars belief and says more about the manager than binnie. Didn't he sign him? Smells like Darren Young/Ciaran Donnelly all over again. We have lost a good keeper and will need to find another one, not a loanee. Another season of last minute signings (half of them crocked of course), time for the team to gel and half a season for the manager to figure out our best team again. What a shambles. As Ian Brown would say "fookin' amateurs".
None of us has any clue why Binnie has left: pure speculation that it was 'coz he was dropped' or 'the manager didn't like him'.. [Unless he has told people on here this personally]. He will sign, no doubt, for another team within days. [More speculation]
Lost our main keeper. Needs replaced and not by a loan. No arguement their either. I was hoping for a quiet close season but it's the Rovers and we always manufacture a crisis somehow. Should have known! 😱 Would ask a question though. If you were at work doing a good job but someone was brought in on loan from another workplace to do your job would you be hacked off?
