According to the Daily Record, Rovers will face Cumbernauld Colts, Clyde and Airdrie in the Broadwood Cup in Cumbernauld on July 4th & 5th. As that's a Monday and a Tuesday I suspect they've got their knickers in a twist and the dates wrong or are combining news of last seasons tourney with current news! This is dreadful. I will not be happy until we announce fixtures against Bradford City and Barrow. At home obviously.

I see that Cumbernauld Colts have confirmed that the NLC Broadwood Cup will go ahead at Broadwood on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July.
Rovers will play Colts on the Saturday with a 1.30 k-o (Airdrie play Stirling at 4.00) and then either Airdrie or Stirling Albion on the Sunday with a 1.30 or 4.00 k-o depending on results the day before.
Admission prices are £8/£4 pay at the gate and you can watch both games on the day if you like!

It appears that Rovers are also playing in another tournament on the weekend of 2nd/3rd July!
The Irvine Victoria Tournament which comprises Irvine Vics, Yoker Athletic, Albion Rovers, Ardeer Thistle (11am & 2.30pm). Presumably this will be the Under 21's and/or reserves if we have any reserves that is. It's not clear the opening fixtures but appears to be the same format as the Broadwood one.
Rovers are due to play Vale of Clyde from the West of Scotland League this Saturday (25th June) with a 1.00pm k-o at the Greenfield Football Centre in Glasgow.
Not strictly a pre-season as we'll have completed the group stage of the Premier Sports Cup by then but on Saturday 23rd July we play away to Troon with a 2.00pm k-o.
None of these fixtures have been publicised by Rovers but the other teams involved have done so.

A young Rovers side won 4-2 against Vale of Clyde today. Rovers went 2 down pretty quickly but came back to dominate and could/should have taken more of their chances.

VALE OF CLYDE 2-4 ROVERS RESERVES A Reserves team with 3 trialists and 10 Under 20s players was shocked early on when a direct and forceful West of Scotland League side took an early two goal lead and dominated proceedings, but before the break the young Rovers side had come to terms with the tempo of the game and first Paul Sweeney, with a free kick, and then Cha Henderson, set up by the Algerian trialist Youcef Narbesia, got their side back onto level terms before the interval. In the second period, Rovers took control throughout and after Henderson had returned the favour by setting up Narbesia for his side’s third goal then, followng a series of missed chances, Ricky McGeachin netted a fourth goal with a powerful strike after being assisted by Hugh Stuart. Knotts (Sandberg); Bamba (Delahay), Meek (McArthur), Boutchoue; Testa, Devine, Greenwood (McGeachin), Duncan, Sweeney; Henderson, Narbesia (Stuart).

H-T Colts 1-0 Rovers
Most of our players are trialists altho’ we suspect some are former signed players who haven’t yet signed new contracts.

As Airdrie beat Stirling 3-0 today we play Stirling Albion at 1.30pm tomorrow once again at Broadwood.
I note that the young Rovers team lost 5-0 to Irvine Vics today in that other tournament in Ayrshire and they play Ardeer Thistle who lost out to Yoker on penalties after a 1-1 draw tomorrow at 11.00am.
