This league which Rovers have entered for the first time this season commences on Friday 12th August. All games are scheduled for Friday nights and it appears 8.00pm k-o's is the norm but we'd need that confirmed. Rovers compete in Conference A which appears to be the only one with SPFL teams in it alongside actual lowland league sides. Players in this league are to be under 20 although up to 2 over age players can feature in the league games. Also, up to 5 trialists can appear in the team but they must be under 20. Rovers start their campaign away to East Kilbride at the K Park on 12th August at 8pm. Rovers home games will be played at Cliftonhill, whether there will be an admission fee hasn't been announced by the club. Just to clarify Roy, will our team be an under-20 version of last season’s reserve side, coached by Mr G Liveston?

I expect so but this information has come from online information not the club.

I see that the SPFL reserve league and reserve cup are returning this season. Unsurprisingly Rovers haven’t entered either competition.

I see that the SPFL reserve league and reserve cup are returning this season. Unsurprisingly Rovers haven’t entered either competition. I hear that the reserves are restricted to Premier and Championship teams only and that Rovers were the only side to vote for league 1 and 2 teams to participate.

Is Cliftonhill gonna be the only grass pitch in that division?

Stirling Albion & University of Stirling have a grass pitch assuming they use the main one at Forthbank. Civil Service Strollers likewise have a grass pitch.

EK 4-0 ROVERS UNDER 20s
Disappointing scoreline in the end, but many positives to take out of a game which unfortunately turned on Yann Boutchoue’s ordering off with almost 60 minutes to go. After losing a poor goal early on, Rovers quickly came to terms with the tempo of a game against quality opposition and were certainly well on top before the double yellow card decision made life increasingly difficult – though, in adversity, the new look Rovers side, short of at least four potential starting players and with five players making their debut, including four trialists, certainly stood up to be counted and, in difficult weather conditions, never allowed itself to be outfought or outplayed, only conceding late on, including a goal scored deep into injury time. Lots of more than satisfactory displays, with Michael Semirimu and Craig Taylor outstanding and Luca Sandberg making two exceptional saves near the end.
Sandberg, Semirimu, McArthur (Morgan), Boutchoue (sent off), Taylor (McGeachin), Devine, Greenwood, Hay, Sweeney, Ibiyemi (Bah), Cairney-Smith
