What a farce. Hope the games off tonight as I am totally disillusioned. Sack the board! Who's gonna take over though?

If players want to leave, there is sod all you can do about it. Move on. Thats the issue.... we have lost a key player, a fans favourite who didnt want to leave.

Mullin's was a totally different situation. He has an opportunity to step up and play football full time, thats surely the ambitions of all part time players. For that reason alone, i think it was too good an opportunity for Josh to turn down.

Mullin wanted away to full time football - Rovers sign young guys on the understanding that they wont stand in their way if a better / full time offer comes in. Having said that think he could have done better than Livi

Yeah totally. Didn't Gemmel want to leave then? Seems a strange player to lose to a lower league team.

Strange to us fans but not to others. I think the number of games he sat on the bench (when fit) clearly highlights that the big man wasnt wanted. We have lost the best No9 in the lower leagues...simple as that!

Quite obvious that the manager didn`t rate him - he sat out most of the second half of last season as well.

It's not as if Gemmell hasn't left us before: twice in fact...to 'big-bucks' Stenhousemuir the last time.

Best wishes to Josh at Livingston, although can't think that he could have got a better move.Sums up our ambition (or lack of), that we could not keep him until end of season, although understand the economics of it.Waste of money going to Peterhead on Saturday when Josh was "injured"

Josh was offered a 2 year full-time deal which is hard to knock back.

No one should have a problem with Josh moving on. Far too good an opportunity to turn down. Gemmell has his faults (don't we all) but on his day he is a match winner and when we are crying out for goals it seems bizarre to let him leave.

Hi Guys On a personal note I want to say all the best to John and Josh at their new clubs. John is a one of a kind Cult Hero who has had so many memorable moments at the club over his spells. The Playoffs , the Seven two and of course last year’s league win will take some beating in my life time as a Rovers fan. Josh over his time at the club has progressed amazingly. If I’m correct he was signed as a back up right back but quickly proved himself to be a very capable attacking presence, the goal against Dunfermline a real highlight. I don’t think we can grudge him this move and I hope that this proves once again to players seeking full-time football that Albion Rovers is a place to come and work hard to prove yourself and achieve things in the process. From the clubs point of view. The close of the window doesn’t really change much for us in terms of ability to add to the squad and I know that Darren and Billy have targets and are actively persuing additions to the squad as we speak. Its also very encouraging to see Paul Archibald become the first person to step up from our youth programs and earn a professional contract. Hopefully he will be the first of many.

No doubt we got peanuts for Josh as that's all we ever get. As for Young he does have a responsibility for Gemmell leaving as he didn't rate him in the same way he didn't rate Ciaran. As for him having players in mind I hope you'll forgive me for not getting over-excited by that. Lets face it his signings haven't exactly set the heather on fire. Negativity is justified as letting two of your best go with a threadbare squad and no replacements in place is a joke. We must be one of the few clubs who come out of the transfer window in a worse state than we went in.
