So Calum’s joined Edinburgh City in League 1, I have no doubt he had an injury but the fact he’s straight into their squad for their game on Saturday, Sandy has a lot of questions to ask why we’ve let one of our best players go, clearly confirms that their was a fallout between Calum and Sandy

Good move for him. Think we all knew there was more to that story than the Club was saying.

Good luck to him.
Our manager clearly didn't fancy him.
A league 1 team did so win win for him and lose lose for us.

Good luck to him. Is it a good move??? To a team who are big trouble on and off the park.

Rumour mill would suggest he was training with Garrowhill and wanted away from the senior game as it was 'too much for him'. Then he signs for an SPFL side days later... bit of a jump. He has been underhanded about his situation and done the club over by the looks of it. I dont think he wanted away from the senior game I think it's more a case of a poor attitude on a couple of occasions at training, with him basically being banished by the club, Interesting to see where the money is coming from to pay his wages, it certainly won't be through cash strapped city

I think it's a good move as in higher standard of football than we are currently plying.
Most Clubs have financial issues, Including ours.....

To be fair, when it comes to paying wages, we seem to be doing better than city who didn't pay wages to players for multiple weeks in October/November,
I believe its the chairman's company who are paying the wage bill at the club ag the moment

The Edinburgh City scenario kinda reminds me of ARFC just after Frank Meade and Robert Watt took over the reins...they received a seven day winding up order from HMRC. Together they put a plan together and offered a solution which was (reluctantly) accepted by HMRC. Robert also put in a substantial amount of money to stabilise the situation, but it still took years of hard graft to overcome the financial mess....they saved the club...now are treated like pariahs. Some people have short memories.

We can say what we want about Edinburgh city's situation, the reality is football wise Callum Wilson has moved up 2 divisions yet deemed not good enough for us.. ?

As I said I don't believe he was deemed not good enough, and it was disciplinary reasons

Some people have short memories. Frank Meade and Robert Watt did indeed save the club. That’s what makes it all the more perplexing that Robert Watt thinks it’s a good idea to sell to someone so obviously flawed as Paul Reilly. In seeking to do so, Watt has completely trashed his reputation. Frank hasn’t said anything similar (so far) so I wouldn’t tar him with the same brush. Not short memories at all - it’s quite possible for people to do great things once upon a time but do something very stupid years later. What’s your current view of Reilly, Grant? Is he still ‘scum’, or have you done a Robert Watt style u-turn and now support him?

In my opinion, by engaging with Reilly, Robert Watt played a clever game...he elicited more information about Reilly`s plans than you or others would ever get by abusing him. I spoke to Reilly last June by phone whilst on holiday near Oban. I told him straight that his `Shamrock Rovers` stunt was utter crap and that no matter what he came up with from then on - on behalf of his `investors` - it would cut no ice with Rovers supporters, he had thrown away any possible chance of goodwill. Those alleged `investors` made a very poor choice in asking Reilly to be their `front man`. Reilly`s business and personal affairs render him unsuitable for any involvement with ARFC...untrustworthy. As with any potential group or consortium wanting to take over or invest in the club - and I include the `fan ownership` idea bring floated, I would expect thorough due diligence to be undertaken...to assess sources of funding, competency of those involved etc, not just to get the proposal over the line, but for the long term benefit of the club.
