Easy win against a really poor overweight team. With some better finishing it could have been 7 or 8 goals today.
However it's already been said you can only beat whats in front of you and we done it with no worries. Given how poor they looked I'm not sure why there was a need to sit in for the second half rather than try and get more goals.
Finally the referee needs a set of specs if he couldn't see that was a penalty against Joseph at the end, thank God it wasn't level at the time.

Good controlled performance from the Rovers from the start. Took the pedal off after half time for 10 minutes. Good to see earlier changes too. Josh tran deserved MotM but it could have gone to Fagan, Reidy or McCaw.
Good team performance against a poor Gala side. They were far better on their plastic pitch - maybe the grass is a leveller?
Was it a decent crowd in the ground? Before kick off the San siro looked empty but seemed packed after 15 minutes.

Good win, good performance all round, only negative is payton. Slow all over the park. Not a big problem today but easily found out in the weeks to come Why does Paton start? Always wondered. Agreed, slow, sluggish, laboured. He does have a fitba brain but he needs legs at this level too.

This was the type of routine victory that I had visualised as the norm for us at the start of the season. We were comfortable all round and with a bit of luck should have had a few more to emulate our cup side from 1985. There will be more difficult opponents to come - but it would be good to get a regular run of games to build our confidence and with Spring approaching we can Spring over the clutch of sides around us.

It could have easily been a similar score to the 1985 game which I was fortunate enough to attend when I was younger like some other posters who were there that day. I agree with everything that has been said already . We could have easily scored a lot more today with some bad luck and poor finishing costing us at times . That was a stonewall penalty when Niyah got brought down and a terrible decision from the ref not to give one.
It was a good controlled performance from Rovers with some great passages of play at times. Josh Tran is a good wee creative player who has the ability to beat a man and I'm surprised he hasnt featured more this season but hopefully he will kick-on now that Joe is leaving. Gala were on a par with Gretna as one of the worst teams I have seen in the league this season but a good performance from the team and we dominated. Let's kick on fron here with our home games in hand coming up soon . Michael Paton is very slow yes but i agree he has a football brain and cam pass the ball . Hopefully he can add some goals when he gets fitter with more games.Onwards and Upwards !

I remember being at the game years ago, when Rovers were absolutely rock bottom of the league and we won 8-1. I do remember being very annoyed at Bruce Clelland for applauding the Gala scorer near the end. We were yelling for 'We want ten'. I was furious at our Bruce!!! Josh Tran will be a great player for us I think, so hopefully get him for next season. I am still surprised about the 'season's over' comments though. That would mean that 95% of the seasons I have watched my team have been meaningless. I beg to differ. Any match involving my team is totally relevant. My opinion of course, to which I am entitled.

Cheers David . I remember Bruce Clelland he was a good player . There was a guy with long hair and a mustache who scored 2 or 3 in that game in 85 but I can't remember his name. He was either playing as a striker or attacking midfield. Can you remember him ? Yes I agree of course everyone is entitled to their opinion and next season without EK in the league and hopefully with some new players, I expect us to to put more of a challenge in

After a fairly dormant start to the new year it was nice to get a win. Maybe it’s just me but I thought they had a bit of a spring in their feet today and apart from a lull in the second half, where we seemed to sit back, were in total control of the game Young Josh Tran was a breath of fresh air today and deserved his MOTM nomination. Yes maybe Gala weren't at their best today but they looked a decent outfit when we played them down there so I’ll take a 3-0 every time. Nyah unlucky not to get a hat trick… even I thought the ‘shoulder charge’ was a penalty…
