The below is the text of my resignation letter submitted to the Board last night:
“After a period of careful and considered reflection, I resign my role as a Director of Albion Rovers Football Club Ltd. effective immediately.
During my almost three years in the Boardroom, the Club has witnessed some of the biggest challenges in its history. Last season was a body-blow to everyone at the Club and this was felt all the more acutely by me – a long-standing fan who was afforded the honour to serve Albion Rovers as a Director.
I am comfortable that I have always put the Club first when making decisions as part of the Board and would urge those who take on the mantle to unfailingly do the same for as long as they continue to serve this 142 year old institution. The continued existence of Albion Rovers should always be at the forefront of your minds.
I’d like to give special mention to a number of people who have made my time at the Club in a formal capacity rewarding and enriching. The vast majority of the Directors I have worked with over my time at the Club have displayed astounding commitment and loyalty. The task is often thankless, but to those who stuck around during the toughest times I have nothing but admiration. The wonderful backroom duo of Gary Johnstone and Jade Shiels have always gone over and above in their roles and enhanced the Albion Rovers name as a result. Thanks – a million times over – to you both for working so, so hard for the Club. You are a credit to yourselves and to the Rovers. To our current First Team Manager Sandy Clark. You took over and faced down perhaps the toughest of challenges in our long history. You instilled a sense of belief and a hitherto missing level of professionalism into a squad drained of confidence and self-worth. Your continued commitment to the Club and embodiment of its values, history, and all else it represents is an inspiration.
Anyone who knows me will appreciate that I have not reached this decision lightly and I have sought counsel from friends, former Board colleagues, and those who have Albion Rovers at their very heart. I would urge those who remain on the Board to carefully consider what is best for the continuity and health of Albion Rovers when making decisions on behalf of its shareholders who are often its most passionate of supporters.
I wish everyone associated the Club the very best.
Jordan”

Mulholland joins and Jordan leaves. 1+1=3. No knee jerk reactions from other members please - had that before and this is my first post for nearly a year. Just a gut feeling.

Usually around at least an hour before home matches communicating with supporters and always greeted me. Definitely a true Rovers man through and through. I'm sure you haven't taken this decision lightly. A big thank you for all you've done on the board and look forward to seeing you again when I come up.
