I must thank Calum & David for their hard work on the social media side of things and also for walking around the Coatbridge area today, asking businesses if it's ok to pop a poster in their window. I seem to be getting a lot of praise recently, but these guys work just as hard in between their college studies and working and deserve thanks. We all work well together for one reason.. To promote the good name of Albion Rovers Football Club.

Great idea, any way of getting folk to notice the Rovers, and turn up is to be commended.

I agree with all the positive comments above. No one will believe this will add hundreds to the gate, but if even half a dozen people are intrigued enough to come along (perhaps for the first time) it will have been well worth the effort.

Fantastic - we did this years ago with the fixture list at the bottom - might be an option for the next game to show people what is coming up - hoping we don't have any other call offs. I went round a few pubs back in the day - any excuse for a wee pub crawl !

Even if we only get 3 or 4 people to come through the turnstiles, it would benefit the club, if those 3 or 4 come back again even better and if those 3 or 4 brought their children, you are then seeing the hard work of Calum & David's hard work paying dividends..
I would actually hand out free tickets to a couple of companies around the local area. If the tickets are used, the chances are the people using them would likely buy a pie and a bovril which funds the club. The hope is that that person would then return again and then pay to get in... The club is then in a win win situation.
Handing out free tickets to adults and children doesn't cost a penny, but its the opportunity to entice people into the club who 1, could return for future games paying full price 2, buy a season ticket, 3, sponsor the club..
