Saturday 30th March LL Civil Service Strollers away 3pm Christie Gillies Park, 25 Marine Drive, Edinburgh, EH4 5EJ.Admission: Adult £8, Concessions £5 Pay at the gate or online at FanbaseThere shall not be a bus to this game - check this link for further information regarding this if you've already paid.Due to their game last Wednesday being off due pitch conditions I suggest nobody buys their ticket online until the game is definitely on although Fanbase are pretty decent at refunding promptly when asked. Likewise I suggest you check the game is still on before setting off for Edinburgh. If the game is off it seems likely that it'll be rescheduled for Saturday 6th April as both teams have the day free, they of course visit Cliftonhill for the first time the following Saturday. CSS currently occupy 10th place in the league with 42 points from 30 matches played. Rovers are 7th with 45 points from 29 matches. To date our only meeting with CSS this season was in February when a weakened Rovers team went down 4-2 in the Lowland League Cup at Christie Gillies Park.

My prediction is 2-0 away win in the event that the game goes ahead.

I'll predict a defeat as there was a definite hint that some players had packed their bags for holidays/pastures new last week. Still, it's a better thread than The mudslinging elsewhere!

CSS 1, Albion Rovers 5. A fired up Rovers to swamp the capital charlatans after last week's disaster.

It might have been a good idea to check the board and this post before buying my train tickets from Durham! Schoolboy error! Not a bad city to be stuck in though!

Yep, bags well and truly packed. If we are going to make a big push next season (assuming it's not just a ploy to sell season tickets) there will have to be major squad changes.

Last 2 league results have magnified our true status in this league this season. We lack a clinical cutting edge to out think teams at times and we are unable to adapt our style against teams with contrasting formations. Losing 2 of our effective players during the season has not helped but was unavoidable given their talent and desire to progress that we can all understand. For next season we need to attempt to boost our squad with the necessary experience to supplement the youngsters we retain. Not an easy task given the market out there. Another watershed season beckons.

Honestly believe this team have gave up due to the fact we have nothing to play for now, think we all need to accept we’re a mid table team at best, I certainly don’t think we’ll win the league next season

I noticed from a recent programme v Cumbernauld, though it was dated 6 January, there is a striker in the reserves, Ekuase, who has eleven goals in eleven games. Why is he not getting a chance? At least give him some game time off the bench. There is a Cha Henderson too who has averaged a goal a game for two seasons though he doesn't seem to have played much this season. If Sandy feels they are not of the required standard, what are they doing here?

If Sandy feels they are not of the required standard, what are they doing here? I totally get what you're saying but scoring every week for reserves is completely different from playing senior. If I'm right in saying too the reserves are actually playing in an amateur league. So There is a massive jump in quality hence why the likes of cha henderson is sent out to clubs like Glasgow united to gain experience playing proper adult football. To put a reserve player who effectively is playing against amateur centre backs to then play against a centre back/full back with experience and numerous games in L2 and lowland even top end of the west and East of scotland leagues they would look lost. Don't get me wrong you will probably have 1 or 2 reserve players that could currently be the exception and others will need and do get sent out on Loan to gain the necessary experience to make the jump.
