I am mystified that there has been no mention on this message board of the Directors report and accounts which were sent out to shareholders over two weeks ago.....nor any comments about last night`s AGM. Thankfully, three shareholders have phoned me today to give me updates on the proceedings...together with their views, of course. In the past accounts and proceedings at the AGM would have been a hot topic....but now....nothing

An AGM is the business of the shareholders not for airing in public. I’m sure your 3 phone calls would have provided all the news you need. Ronnie

Have to agree with Ronnie in that you'll learn no more from the communications you've already received on the AGM.
Left with an optimistic feeling. A change from the last few years.
We seem to have driven and knowledgeable folks on the board with a plan of action going forward with Sandys input. Let's hope it works out.

In my opinion (and I stress the word opinion!) anyone who has been around the Club for, say, the last year and attended that as their first AGM, would have left utterly bamboozled by proceedings.
It’s clear that, at this very moment in time, there is lots going on at Albion Rovers Football Club (and that’s putting it mildly!) and we’re at a significant crossroads. I really don’t know where we’re going, but I hope there can be some stability soon. Otherwise, I fear for our long-term future.

Whereas people attending previous AGM's such as last years for instance which was abandoned after half an hour or so when you were on the board and then had to be rescheduled would make it look slick.

David,
There was nothing wrong with the structure of the meeting. That wasn’t what I was saying. Surprised my post wasn’t deleted and my account removed!
Jordan.

Hi Jordan, Bamboozled - compared with the last few years it was structured and there seemed to be a short, medium and long term plan for the club. Most importantly, some optimism as we left the room. Some self-awareness required.
As for crossroads, 100% agree. I hope the whole rovers family - including those who don't get on personally - pull towards the most positive of roads.

As for crossroads, 100% agree. I hope the whole rovers family - including those who don't get on personally - pull towards the most positive of roads. Good point. In my long working life I often had to work with those I didn`t particularly like but as long as we pulled together for the common good we could work together. Rovers are where we are - not by accident - but from flawed decisions - some financial - managerial choices etc - and of course inadequate support from the town.... that latter point has been the situation for many years. We are too few in number to have personal animosities get in the way of trying to restore the club....but if we don`t learn from past mistakes they will be repeated. Hence open discussion is essential.
