In an unusual and concerning move Dublin side Shamrock Rovers who are currently League of Ireland champions have announced that they shall play Rovers in what will be a pre-season friendly for us.
This shall come in the summer just after the Euros conclude and the Irish season is about to recommence (the LoI play in the summer months) after a pause for the tournament.
Shamrock manager Aibrean Amadán mentioned this surprise game in his weekly press interview. It’s unclear where the match will be played.

When you say ‘concerning’, David, are you suggesting that this surprise friendly is in some way connected to the P Reilly takeover bid, which most of assumed was dead in the water? Maybe the precursor to some kind of feeder-club arrangement?

A bit of work has gone into this April Fool thread.
Shamrock manager Aibrean Amadán = April Fool
Stephen Bradley is the actual manager of Shamrock Rovers.

He has fairly come on since playing left back for Rovers supporters' team.
