All the players are free agents....... or at least will be at the end of May..............think minds have been elsewhere the last four games.

Darren was contracted until the end of the season, it would not have been right to name his succesor whilst there was still games to play.

Best of luck to Brian, he has a tough job but a huge opportunity. If he can keep the Rovers up it will arguably be a bigger achievement than anything Darren Young did at the club. With Queen's Park, East Fife, Stranraer, Arbroath and the L2 play-off winner in the league it can be done! Everyone has their own opinion but i totally disagree with this statement. If he keeps us up one season it maybe betters what darren done in 3? nonsense.Darren won us a league against all odds,,kept us up against all odds,,beat killie (on pens) against all odds, beat QOS against all odds to set up glamour cup tie v celtic then kept us up again against all odds. I sometimes wasnt happy with Youngs selections but he was paid to make the decisions not me and i dont think we will see another do so well for us in a long long time,,,And maybe 5,,7 10yrs down the line the fans will think back to these days and wish darren was still around or had a bit more backing

Young had two very experienced assistants. I think it is hard to judge from a fans perspective just how much of what has been achieved is down to Young. I hope Kerr will do well. However he is unlikely to have as many options as Young and Co once the budget is slashed.

Good appointment.
Disappointed that news was leaked a few weeks before today!
Also very disappointed that none of the current team will be around next season.
Still, onwards and upwards.

I think most of today`s footballers are `mercenaries`, Peter, but hopefully some of the current team will stick around for another campaign - even if it means a drop in wages.

Good not having a outsider coming and having to gets to grips with the set up he must be aware of what its going to be like, for a club like rovers lucky to be able to make such a quick appointment.

I think this is a sensible appointment and Brian deserves a chance for the good work he did with the development squad.
I was listening to Clyde 1 super scoreboard last night and one of the questions on "beat the pundit" was which team has Brian Kerr taken over as manager. A bit of free publicity anyway for ARFC

He may be a "young" manager but looking at the experience he's had, I'm optimistic that he'll motivate young and older players alike. I always keep in mind that our players are part time, don't have the level of training etc that those from the upper leagues have but they should be encouraged. I look forward anyway to his management next season. Shades of Prof, perhaps (no offence meant, Ian!) but for me, there's some excitement about it.
