For a player of his ability Mark should be aiming to play for someone higher up the food chain. This season is probably his last chance to do so.
Would love to see him back at the Rovers (playing with the ball at his feet, not a cliché 6 ft 4 target man).

Still a decent player and I'd guess he'll be well outside our budget.

Would be a good acquisition , but our budget will restrict our targets. Hopefully the new boss can make his connections with the wider soccer community, and we can fix up guys with a bit of experience who desire to play for the club without holding us to ransom.

Think Charles is not referring to the past, more likely the current scenario. As I said in another thread, in this day and age, most players are quite mercenary in their outlook

Issues of pay aside, I'd like to see him back. Most times i saw him, he got the opposition defence working by making fast runs down the wing and seemed to me to be totally committed. Someone commented to me that he was "big headed" but perhaps we need players who are prepared to put in a full shift.

I'm generally against having players back for a 2nd or 3rd time but have no axe to grind against Marky in particular.

After Devlin left we never got to grips after that ( Sandy Clark left and was immediately replaced by Stark who was also on a high wage). I have no doubt the previous Chairman and former directors dipped there hand in the pockets but ultimately they failed in controlling spending which now takes us back to square one.
